Chrishall is a small & friendly village with an award- winning pub, a Pre School , and a Primary School, Saffron Walden County High & The Joyce Frankland Academy in Newport are both 15 mins away. Chrishall is between Saffron Walden and Royston and Cambridge is only 20 mins away and London less than 1hr from Audley End. We are a 7 minute drive to Hinxton Hall and the Genome Campus. Camps Cottage is a period property with the oldest part being around 500yrs old. We would gently like to remind all prospective guests that this house is our family home - not a hotel or buy to let or holiday let business, so please don't expect it to be like one (i.e. domestic standards - not 5* commercial hotel standards)! Absolutely everything in it is what we use ourselves. We have purposely set our rates at a competitive price in order to attract and secure longer term renters (i.e.over 30 days), so whether you stay for a month or six months, the rates will not change. There are four double bedrooms (one en suite) - two with TV, a large beautiful contemporary bathroom, a dining room, a snug/office with computer desk, a large main living room with TV and a conservatory. There is a decent size garden both back and front - all lawn and mature hedging. There is parking for at least four cars. The cottage is simply but adequately furnished with our own furniture for the purpose of lets between one and six months. In order to keep the price competitive, although we supply linen and towels, you will need to wash all linen and make up your own beds if and when you require yourselves. (There is one spare set per bedroom.) We need guests staying who will respect the age and condition of our home. Camps Cottage is a pretty cottage in a quiet country lane surrounded by unspoilt countryside and wildlife. All bills included. The owners of this property are renting the house out while they are travelling. However during the current Coronavirus pandemic they may stay at their small separate studio apartment next to the house, along with their adult son, for some or all of your stay.
