Paddockwood

Our home is a stones throw from the Historic Okoroire Hot Springs Hotel, where you can eat, drink, play golf or take a hot swim. We are 30mins drive from Matamata & Cambridge, Rotorua and Tauranga. Hobbiton is 24kms away & Te Waihou Springs are only 12kms. Paddockwood is a wonderful country location, only 6kms from the quaint Tirau Village shops. If your here for the Fieldays, come back to the warmth of the fire & evening meals can certainly be arranged, as we love to cook. Explore the area or just relax at Paddockwood. Paddockwood is a one level rambling home. It has been featured in the New Zealand House & Garden magazine February 2017. Tastefully decorated, clean and quiet. In the summer months we have all the windows and doors open onto the veranda where you hear the sound of the fountain trickling. Rest in your rooms with the doors open onto the terrace with block out curtains, read or listen to the birds. In the winter months, the house is just as comfortable and warm with a fire going in the kitchen and lounge. We often also have the outdoor fire going too, if dining outside on the big table. At Paddockwood you feel like your a million miles from anywhere, but in actual fact you have a pub close by with food, drinks, golf, plus a hot spring. There are plenty of other eating places close by and lots of walks or golf courses should you wish to. Paddockwood looks over a beautiful working dairy farmlands. We will be here should they wish to know anything or want anything but give them their privacy too. Okoroire is a lovely area, and we have the Historic Okoroire Hot Springs Hotel just a stones throw away. Here they have great pub food, drinks, golf course and Hot Springs to soak in. There are about 9 golf courses very close by also, should you wish to test your skills or make it a golfing trip. Tirau Village shops are close by and you can easily spend some money there. Matamata and Hobbiton are close also making this an ideal country location, close to everything that the area has to offer, but feeling of being a million miles away You would need your own transport. Should you wish to take a ride down the lovely country roads, we have some old bikes that you may use. We have TWO ROOMS AVAILABLE UNDER TWO LISTINGS Should you wish to have two rooms, we have one King Bed room and one Queen Bed room next to each other. We are more than happy to cook and evening meal, as we love to cook. We would just need to know in advance and know if you have any eating requirements. This would be an added cost to your stay. As much as we live in the country, we also have lots of eating places close by. The other part of our family is 2 Bischon dogs, Bella 13 and Bonnie 10 mths, who are very gentle- Billy the cat, Cherokee the horse who loves slices of bread and chickens who give us lovely eggs.
