Come see what life is like on our little farm. Stay in a unique, one of a kind, tiny house with a woodfired cedar hot tub/plunge pool. Views of the creek, perfectly set in nature, for you to check out of the rat race, when you check in. Our wee tiny was built using reclaimed materials, vintage fittings, antique doors and windows, not to mention a beautifully curated collection of antique furniture & trinkets to create the most enchanting space for you to enjoy. With high pitch ceilings, a queen sized bed, dressed with high quality French linen and an open-plan claw foot tub to relax in, this is a tiny house like no other. The “tiny” also boasts a charming veranda with an outdoor kitchen and an antique cast iron wood fired heater that overlooks the creek. A beautiful spot by the fire to sit and mull the day or night away. Austinville Valley is one of the Gold Coasts best kept secrets nestled below world heritage listed Springbrook National Park. The area boasts spectacular waterfalls, lush rainforest, ancient trees and impressive views. So much to do close by, making this the perfect place to either do it all or do nothing at all. The choice is yours. We have designed and built the wee tiny with the intention of being a sustainable space for people to enjoy without imposing heavily on the environment. The wee tiny is off grid and has a composting toilet. It is run on solar power, there is a USB port to charge your phone, however there are no plug-in appliances or power points. Fear not we have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We have included an outdoor kitchen with 3 burner gas stove and small oven, stove top kettle and toaster, a small esky (ice chest) supplied with a bag of ice, a spare esky just in case you need more room (BYO ice), ample bench space to whip up a feast and all of your basic cooking utensils, glassware and crockery. We have included a few extra things to make your stay just a bit more special, including MAYDE organic loose-leaf tea, organic ground coffee, salt, pepper and oil. On your way we recommend stopping in at Mudgeeraba where you will find all the necessary grocery stores to stock up on for your stay. If you are after something special, a trip to The Kitchens at Robina Town Centre is where you will find specialty deli items. The tiny does not have a television or WIFI and phone reception can be limited. So enjoy a game of cards or a board game, spend quality time with your loved one. We have also included a Bluetooth speaker to play your favourite tunes while you stay. Please note that mobile phone reception can be hit and miss, we recommend downloading your music before you come. So when you arrive switch off and unwind. The interior has been fitted with a beautifully restored cast iron claw foot bathtub in the open plan living area. We have provided eco-friendly bath products for your stay. You can either soak the night away in the tub or use the large rainfall shower head. Unfortunately the tiny is not suitable for children or pets due to the dangers of the creek and livestock. We are all about slow mornings, restful days to do whatever you wish to do in the moment and it's all yours to enjoy. Come have a look see at our (Hidden by Airbnb) account and website @palmerandgunn (Website hidden by Airbnb) Enjoy the magic. Images- Morgan Kelly @casamorgan You have the wee tiny, hot tub and the surrounding area all to yourself. We like to give you space but we are available if needed. We live on the property in the main farmhouse but like to let you do your own thing. You may see us out and about working with the animals feel free to say hi, if you would like. The wee tiny is yours to enjoy, located in the beautiful Austinville Valley, not far from Springbrook National Park. The tiny is a farm stay experience and our land is home to us, our Belted Galloway cows and honeybees. You will need a car for your stay with us as we are in a rural location. It is very important for guests to have travel insurance as very occasionally our road may close temporarily, due to flooding. Guests must take responsibility for having insurance. We cannot issue refunds or extend bookings due to weather affecting your travel plans. Please note that though most days are filled only with the sound of birds and the creek running that our property is situated between the creek and a sealed rural no through road, so you may hear cars, motorbikes, slashing & or farm animals. The tiny is on absolute creek frontage. There is a small set six stairs with no handrail to enter the tiny. We are located on a farm; we have cows & honeybees on the property. There is also a potential that you may come into contact with an array of wildlife, please consider if this is going to be an issue for you before booking.
