Martinshouse Holiday Cottage

The cottage is on its own in beautiful Border countryside, Quiet and peaceful yet only a short drive to the historic town of Hawick. Our cottage has 2 bedrooms one king size bed and the other a double and a single bed. A comfortable lounge with unlimited Wi-Fi. Every window has a beautiful view of the countryside. It also has an enclosed garden and driveway for 2/3 cars. We are family and pet friendly! Please note we do charge £20 for first pet to stay and then £5 per stay per extra pet Martinshouse Holiday Cottage is a spacious detached self catering cottage with amazing views. We are situated 2 miles from the town of Hawick set back from the main road. Their are fantastic views from every window yet the owners are just along the road in case you require any assistance. The cottage accommodates up to 5 guests with a king size bed in the master bedroom and a double and single bed in the second bedroom. We also have a blow up bed in case of a surprise extra guest. All bed linen is provided for each guest. The spacious living room is warm and comfy with heating and also an electric fire, a 42" television with freeview channels also unlimited Wi-fi. It also has plenty of games and books situated in the living room. The Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would have at home, everything from cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, crockery, utensils and also a washing machine. The bathroom has a bath with an electric shower. Martinshouse is a self catering cottage although we provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits so you can enjoy a hot drink when you arrive. The cottage is heated with night storage heaters throughout and you can turn these up or down to your comfort. The garden is fully enclosed for pets to run free but we do ask that all dog mess is picked up and placed in bins and feel free to walk up to the top of the hill and look at the stunning views! We always welcome our guests when they arrive and give them a tour of the cottage and explain how everything works. We are always around in case our guests require anything but our general rule is that You can bother us but We will never bother you! Martinshouse Holiday cottage is situated in a very peaceful rural location yet very close to all the local amenities shops, supermarkets (some deliver to your door), swimming pool and a beautiful park and walled gardens, museum, bars and take-aways. Hawick is famous for its knitwear, rugby and common-riding. The Heritage Hub and Textile Towerhouse have exhibitions and information, their is also a cinema and coffee house within the hub. The cottage is situated 2 miles from Hawick. It is also only 18 miles from Galashiels which now has a train service to Edinburgh. If you park your car at Tweedbank just outside Galashiels you can catch the train every half hour and it takes 55min to arrive at Edinburgh Waverley (Princess Street).
