Unique home with stunning estuary views
Standing on the banks of the Pembroke river, The Sandhouse was originally a grain store built in the 17th century. It is a grade II listed building that has been tastefully converted into a spacious, family holiday home. The Sandhouse sleeps 8 in 4 good-sized bedrooms; 2 doubles (1 with en-suite) and 2 twin bedrooms. The main living area provides a spacious lounge/dining room with a wood burning stove, TV and DVD. The original beamed ceiling, stone walls and spectacular picture window overlooking the tidal river offer great character in extreme comfort. Off the lounge/dining room is a well-equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, washer/dryer dishwasher, electric hob, oven & microwave. From the lounge a set of French door opens onto a timber deck and small-enclosed rear garden. The property has the added benefit of unlimited 4G Wi-Fi. Located in the small hamlet of Bentlass, The Sandhouse provides an idyllic getaway location with an ever-changing scene of the tidal river. Located only 4 miles from Pembroke and 12 miles from Tenby, local amenities are close by. The Pembrokeshire National Park provides some of Britain’s most spectacular scenery with its coastal paths, golden beaches and ancient monuments. For the more active holidaymaker there are plenty of fun activities close at hand including golf, horse riding, watersports and an excellent selection of family attractions. Entrance to the property is through the double wooden garage doors and up 3 steps to the front door.
