Spacious & cosy 3 bedroom house in trendy Peckham, central London, Zone 2. Lovingly restored with period charms. A home away from home. Perfect for a family or group. The house is walking distance to restaurants, bars, markets & parks. Just 2mins walk to the station taking to fun London Bridge + Borough Market (6mins), cool Shoreditch (15mins) & lovely Clapham Junction (15mins). TV, wi-fi, toiletries, towels, linens & welcome pack provided. A large 3 bedroom large Victorian house located in buzzing Peckham, in central zone 2 near all the big sights of London. The entire place will be yours. We bought the house last year and have been lovingly restoring it back to the period Victorian charm with fireplace, sash windows etc. This is an on-going process so there are some areas of the house which still a bit of work. There is a large living room with generous dining table, 2 very large bedrooms with king sized beds (one with a decorative fireplace) to sleep up to 4 x people and 1 smaller bedroom which is a nursery and has a crib which can extend to a toddler bed to sleep a child. Perfect for a group or family. Our house compromises of: - Large living room with sofa and big dining table - Large kitchen - Large bathroom - Full cable (the whole package!) and fast wi-fi - Master bedroom with king sized bed and decorative fireplace - 2nd large bedroom with king sized bed - 3rd bedroom is a nursery - with crib which can be extendend to a toddler bed. We live by Queen's Road Peckham station, Zone 2, 6 minutes by train to Zone 1. Just on your doorstep you have the lovely Blackbird Bakery for great coffee and yummy sandwiches, Mamma Dough for outstanding wood fire house pizza, Tesco for your groceries and other takeaways. The area was somewhat unknown to the wider population of London until 4 years ago when it was connected to the overground rail (6 minutes to London Bridge / 15 minutes to Shoreditch) but this is what still makes the area unique. Frequented by a large population of artists, musicians, families and diverse range cultures; from Afro-Caribbean, to Chinese, to Indian - the area is both vibrant and up and coming. Peckham central is the grass roots upstart of the creative scene (just 15 minutes walk from the house) - the Copeland Estate houses galleries, roof top bars, furniture designers, ceramic studio, restaurants and artist gatherings. 10 minutes walk from the house is Nunhead Highstreet which features; a bakers, fishmongers, coffee shops and craft brewery shop along with 2 other pubs (Londoners love a pub). New Cross and Deptford are nearby which are both areas undergoing rapid change. Famous Goldsmith University in New Cross keeps the area both lively and ever changing. Beyond Deptford you have pretty Greenwich Village which is worth a visit to discover both the Cutty Sark and the birth place of Greenwich Meantime. The house is fortunately situated between 2 mainline stations in Zone 2. The closest station is Queens Road Peckham - just 2 minutes walk from the house. Queens Road Peckham will take you to London Bridge in 6 minutes where you can visit the Tate Modern / Borough Market / The Shard / The White Cube / Maltby Street Market and many more central London locations. Queens Road Peckham is also connected to the overground, (probably the easiest access to East London from anywhere else in London) - 15 minutes to trendy Shoreditch and 20 to 25 minutes to Dalston / Hackney Downs and Clapton (all trendy east London neighbourhoods). Nunhead Station also 15 minutes from the House will take you direct into Victoria (West London) in 15 minutes and there are also connections to Farringdon and the North London via this station. We are also well connected by buses to all central London locations. There will be a detailed how to guide provided to make sure you settle in well.
