The 150-year-old, traditional Javanese Joglo, offers two master bedrooms with large windows facing the sea. The 1110 sqm seafront property provides for privacy, tranquility, and convenience with a self-contained kitchen, large grass lawn, and beautiful sunsets. Within walking distance from Rumah Joglo is a pristine nature reserve with a unique selection of fauna as well as a spectacular waterfall where one can enjoy a refreshing freshwater swim. There are several walking tracks available through the lush tropical rain forest and the local fish market offers excellent seafood treats for a very reasonable price. During construction, we developed a good relationship with the local community and found trustworthy staff to help maintain the property and provide security. The house is fully furnished including all essential kitchen utensils. The house caters well for children and a cot and baby chair can be arranged. Our staff can also help arrange boat trips to the islands (sea conditions permitting), go shopping, and cook food for you. We recommend the BBQ seafood buffet. For overseas guests, airport pickup can be arranged. We will book the car for you and the driver will pick you up from the airport. You pay directly to the driver and can also arrange to rent the car for additional days. There is Wi-Fi in the house with 20 Mbps and is very reliable. All guests will receive an information pack with further details about activities in the local area, what to bring, and other information that will ensure you have a pleasant stay. Look forward to welcoming you to our house. The location of the house is next to the main road. To avoid traffic noise, keep the front doors closed. We have made the front wall higher to reduce the noise. For mosquitos, we plant the citronella around the house. Also, provide mosquito repellent. Since 2018 we have installed Air Conditioning (AC) in the bedrooms. Guest will have access to all facilities provided on the premises. Guest will have full privacy at the house. We have staff who will do cleaning and guests can instruct them when they want them to come. The family of our staff live across the street and they have a small shop (Warung) where you can buy small necessities such as water, instant coffee, shampoo etc. You can also order simple, Indonesian meals. They will be happy to get to know you so go over and say "Hi"! There are public mini buses going up and down the coastal road all the time. Just go out to the road and they will stop. Price is very cheap but be prepared for cramped space. For longer trips you can also hire a car with driver, just ask our staff. The location of the house is next to the main road.
