Set in a tidy leafy shared backyard garden in tranquil neighbourhood. 500m to local shops, 2kms to Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre, and 10kms to beach. Messages welcome. • The guest room is on ground level and is light and fresh and fully insulated against heat or cold. There is a split-system reverse-cycle air conditioner plus a ceiling fan. It has fly screens on all windows and locking screened security and main entry doors with your own keys provided. • The wardrobe has hangers and drawers and full length mirror. There is 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, both with bedside lamps. There is also a curtain that can divide and create privacy between the 2 beds. A large well lit ensuite with walk-in shower, toilet, mirror and hair dryer. Good quality towels and bed linen is provided. • A comfortable living space with 127cm flat screen TV. There is a table and chairs, desk with light, power points and unlimited wireless internet. • A small well equipped kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave, supplying guests with a self-serve breakfast including an offering of a variety of cereals, toast, fruit juice, tea, coffee, sugar and milk; as well as some packaged meals including gluten free. • The guest room is located at the rear of the main home. It has it's own separate locking front door and security door and is accessible from the front of the home via the side gate. • Access to our laundry for washing of clothing can be arranged if required. . There is a small washing line exclusive for guest use. • There is a lovely outdoor area with bench seat that has morning sun and afternoon shade, especially for guest use. . There is also a cubby house with large whiteboard & markers where a child can draw. We welcome your stay. Either myself or Garry will be here to greet you when you arrive and farewell you when you leave. We respect your privacy however if you would like any assistance, just ask? I'm happy to give you directions to locations for things to see and do, places to eat and shop, etc. Our location is central Gold Coast, attractions including theme parks, national parks and the beach are within a 20 minute drive from our home. Being 10 kms from the tourist strip and away from busy main roads our home is in a quiet and peaceful suburb and if arriving by car there are no roadside parking restrictions. We have lived happily in our current home for 24 years and have wonderful neighbours. • GENERAL: We are a 15 to 20 minute drive to beaches, attractions, theme parks, major shopping centres, cinemas, The Star Casino, the Gold Coast Convention Centre; and amazing mountain bike trails and bushwalks with waterfalls in the National Parks of the Gold Coast heritage listed Scenic Rim. • PLACES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE: It's a 6 minute walk to our nearest shops. • It's a 1.6 km walk to the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre (opened April 2017) and Metricon Stadium, home ground to the Gold Coast Suns AFL Football Club. • It's a 2.2 km walk to Emerald Lakes Golf Club and a 3.6 km walk to the RACV Royal Pines Resort and Golf Club, whom annually hosted the Australian PGA Championships in November up untill 2019, and other major tournaments throughout the year. • It's a 1.6 km walk to 9 Fast Food Restaurants. • After a 2.5 km walk you will arrive at 2 major shopping centres in Nerang. • TRAVEL VIA BUS OR TRAM: A 5 minute walk will get you to our nearest bus stop and buses run hourly. • You can purchase a single paper ticket each time you travel via bus or tram, however if you wish to travel for several days or more, it is more economical to buy a 'Go Card' (Gold Coast go explore' card). It costs $10. per adult per day for unlimited travel on buses and trams. • A bus trip to Broadbeach (Route 743), via the Carrara Markets, takes 22 minutes and a single paper ticket adult fare is $4.60. From there you can catch a tram or another bus, and go north to Surfers Paradise or south to Coolangatta. At Broadbeach you can go for a swim at the beach or visit the Pacific Fair or Oasis Shopping Centres, The Star Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, the Gold Coast Convention Centre, etc. At Surfers Paradise you can go for a swim at the beach or explore the many attractions there. • The Carrara Markets (the largest permanent market in Australia) are on every weekend and the bus can get you there in 19 minutes and a single paper ticket adult fare is $4.60. • SHUTTLE BUS TRANSPORT: The Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle bus pickup point is nearby providing transfers to theme parks with return trip fares at $25. per adult or 3-day passes at $60. per adult. • UBER OR TAXI: If travelling with a friend taking a Uber ride to the theme parks is an economical option. Uber connects you to an affordable ride anywhere, anytime. You can download the app 'Uber in Gold Coast' and get a ride in minutes. On average the cost of a ride via a Uber vehicle is 30% less than the cost of a taxi. • TRAVEL VIA TRAIN: The Nerang Railway Station is a 6 minute drive away and taking a train to South Brisbane Station and visiting South Bank Parklands Cultural Precinct takes 1 hour and a single paper ticket adult fare is approximately $15.00. • It is a 6 minute train trip from Nerang Station to Robina Station and adult fare is approximately $4.60. Robina Station is adjacent to Cbus Super Stadium home ground to the Gold Coast Titans National Rugby League. It's a 20 minute walk from the station to Robina Town Centre, the largest Shopping Centre in Australia. Arriving to the Gold Coast: 1. Arriving by plane to the Gold Coast Airport? The GC Airport is 32 kms from our home and is a 25 minute drive. Gold Coast Cabs are at the airport or travel via uber at approximately 30% less cost. 2. Arriving by plane to Brisbane Airport? The Brisbane Airport is 81 kms from our home and the quickest way to get here is by taking the Airtrain from the airport direct to Nerang Station on the 'Gold Coast express' option, which takes 50 minutes and costs approximately $35.00 for a single paper ticket per adult. Gold Coast Cabs are available at the Nerang Station and it is a 3 km trip to our home or travel via uber at approximately 30% less cost. 3. Arriving by car? There is roadside parking in front of my home and there are no restrictions on parking.
