Situated in the peaceful and leafy Colinton Village, we have an annex attached to our house for your stay with your own entrance. We love living here and feel it offers country views out to the Pentland hills yet we are easily accessible to the airport and centre of town. We have a double bedroom and sitting room with a small sofa bed and private bathroom for your stay. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. Our home sits on the Water of Leith river and a path runs behind our home to connect you with the walkway and many beautiful woodland walks. You can walk up the river to Balerno or down the river to connect with the Canal all the way into Edinburgh Town. Free parking is available in our driveway and also on a nearby street 200m away. Check in after 3pm and Check out by 10 am. I work part time therefore depending on your check in/out date, I will be more or less available. Check in will be via Key Box. Happy to communicate via phone/email as required. Colinton Village is a historic village on the South West edge of Edinburgh. There are 2 local pubs within easy walking distance. Spylaw Tavern which serves pub food and Colinton Inn which has live music. Dantes is an Italian restaurant with the "best" fresh pizzas and pasta. There are local shops and a wonderful Post office "Olive and Post" which is a Deli/gift shop selling local and Scottish produce. Our home is 15 mins drive/taxi away from Edinburgh Airport (Approximately £15). There is also an excellent airport bus service (number 400) which takes you 10m from our doorstep. We recommend the Moovit or Transport for Edinburgh app for up to date and real time transport links or the"Traveline Scotland" Website for further details. The 45 bus travels from our doorstep into town and the "grass market" alternatively there are the 44 and 43 buses which leave from Lanark Road Crossroads and head in the Haymarket/Princes street side of town. Single daytime journey will cost £1.70 for a single daytime journey and £4 for an all day unlimited use ticket across the network. Overnight buses are slightly more expensive. Buses into town take roughly 25 minutes depending on traffic and time of day. They run regularly throughout the day.
