Mayfield Farm Cottage is a brand new, exquisitely appointed 2 bedroom accomodation nestled in the tranquil countryside just 45mins to spectacular Cradle Mountain. The cottage is set amongst the paddocks where our friendly miniature donkeys, goats and sheep graze and the geese swim in the dams. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind with the spectacular views of Mt Roland and beautiful rolling hills and farmland, all of which can be seen from your front verandah. Wi-Fi and NETFLIX The cottage has complimentary Wi-Fi and Netflix. 1st DAY COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST Complimentary breakfast provisions are provided on the first day as you begin exploring the region with fresh eggs from the farm, bacon, tomatoes, homemade jams with home grown berries, honey and a coffee pod machine for the coffee connoisseur. If you would like breakfast supplied on subsequent days, we’d be more than happy to supply at a cost of $12 per person per day. Please let us know at time of booking. ROMANTIC / CELEBRATION PACKAGES Visiting us to celebrate a special occasion? A romantic getaway? Why not order a beautiful flower arrangement, chocolates and a bottle of wine in advance? We can have it ready and waiting for you in the cottage upon your arrival. Please contact the host to discuss package options. BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a luxurious queen bed and the second with two king singles. There is a separate modern bathroom with shower vanity and heated towel rail. KITCHEN The brand new, fully equipped kitchen has a full sized oven and cook top, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee pod machine, toasted sandwich maker and all the necessary cooking utensils and condiments needed to cook up a feast. OUTDOOR BBQ There is also a BBQ and comfy outdoor setting on the verandah for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity, watching the ever changing colours of Mt Roland until the sun goes down and there is only a million stars left shinning, all with a glass of Tasmania’s finest wine. WASHING FACILITIES If you need to catch up with some washing during your stay, there is a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. LOUNGE AND DINING The lounge has comfy seating for 4, flat screen TV, with a good array of DVD’s for those cosy nights and a beautiful electric feature fire place for the romantics and a heat pump that will keep the entire cottage warm and cosy. The dining room has a table and chairs to seat 4. EXTERIOR There is a covered carport attached to the cottage to keep that occasional snow off the car in winter. All windows and doors are double glazed for that added warmth. SELF CHECK-IN Check yourself in with the lockbox. Check-in is from 3PM GUEST ACCESS The cottage is exclusively yours when you arrive - your only neighbours are the resident friendly farm animals and wildlife. Access is via the front door from the undercover carport. The key is found in a key safe that has a combination. The combination code is sent to you the day of your arrival. If you would like to be met at the door, most days, that would be possible up until 6PM. Please just ask, otherwise we respect your privacy. Just 10 minutes from Sheffield, Mayfield Farm Cottage is modern, stylish and comfortable, furnished with luxurious touches to make it a wonderful romantic getaway, a short break with friends or just the perfect location to explore the sights of world-renowned Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, Sheffield Town of Murals, Levon Canon, Mole Creek Caves or the beautiful walks of Devils Gullet and surrounds. Sheffield, ‘Tasmania’s Outdoor Art Gallery’, is a quaint town with many artworks painted on the buildings. It has a host of local shops, markets, a post office, cafes and restaurants and a local hotel with great meals. There are two service stations and a small, but well stocked supermarket that will cover all your needs. Mayfield Farm Cottage is only a few minutes to Lake Barrington and the rowing course and just down the road is Tasmazia where you can explore the delightful mazes, the lavender or just grab a bite to eat and coffee.
