Tessy’s Run is a private 140 acre farm in South Gippsland situated close to Meeniyan and Inverloch. It is set amongst rolling green hills and natural bushland offering sites of kangaroos, koalas and native birds. Situated in the middle of the farm is an open plan timber Barn that provides you with a luxurious and relaxing farm stay experience. The property is very pet friendly, it has is a large fenced off area around the entire barn, so dogs can safely run and play. Enjoy access to homegrown vegetables and herbs (seasonal) that are on offer in the garden and relax on the open lawn under the native gum trees. Tessy’s Run has been designed to run as environmentally friendly as possible, utilising solar generation and a wood fire heater to warm your home on winter nights. Self contained with own access to the property down a quite farm lane. The Barn is the only residents on the property so you can relax and enjoy the space without interruption. As the Barn is the only residence. You may see a farmer from the distance checking the cattle, otherwise the place is yours to enjoy in peace. With Meeniyan (10 mins drive down the road -a map will be supplied for the back roads) you have access to restaurants, the local pub, homeware & gifts store and local produce stores. Its also the turning point to Wilson’s Promontory, one of the states best loved national parks providing a labyrinth of walking tracks and beaches. The Dumbalk store (5 min drive) is convenient to grab your morning paper. And if you want to relax by the sea and take in some sun, Inverloch is 20 minute drive away. You can take in Koonwarra along the way; a small country town offering cafes, local produce and food market. Leongatha is approx 5-8min from the farm if you need to do a larger shop. You will need a car to get around. There is a bus too and from Melbourne that operates out of southern cross station and stops at Leongatha or Meeniyan. Phone reception is best supported by Telstra and Optus. Internet works on your own network and portable devices should you require internet.
