Welcome to our Blue Room ! A newly made room , freshly decorated with new furniture in different shades of blue , new beds and mattress ! Single or twins beds , with own door for garden access , ideal for that Al fresco summer evening dining . Interesting trendy local area , easy connected to Central London This is a double bedroom in a large family friendly semi-detached home in London , borough of Southwark. The room is beautifully lit by a window/door that cover most of one wall and give you access to the rear garden where you have tables and (Website hidden by Airbnb) is also a radiator and a big wardrobe for all your belongings. There are two single beds if used as twin room or they can be added together as double bed . Newly refurbished with memory mattress , and new pillows. You are more than welcomed to join us in the morning at the kitchen table with our Italian style breakfast made of cappuccinos, expresso coffee , hot croissants with Nutella chocolate, cereals and biscuits. Guests have access mainly to all the ground floor where there is a bathroom with a shower for guests use only when they are here, this bathroom is for guests of both bedrooms downstairs ( our family have bedrooms and another private bathroom upstairs, so there won't be a queue for toilets!!! ) There is a large rear garden with bistro tables , overlooking a green hill with a golf course . You can access the kitchen using the sink , microwave , coffeemaker, and can use anything like plates, glasses , cutlery etc . But not for cooking lunches or dinner . We will provide Italian style breakfast in the morning if you like ( at no extra cost ) or you can help yourself with tea, coffe , milk , orange juice , cereal etc. Anytime we like ! If we are at home and meet during the day will be nice to have a chat with guests . I am also available for any info you want to ask on transport, places to visit etc . I will also provide you with some useful city map , tube map and "visiting London " leaflets ( as you can see in one picture) . Situated in zone 2 South East London on the boundary of three famous neighbourhoods triangle: EAST DULWICH ( chic and typically English village feel ) PECKHAM RYE ( vibrant , artsy, quickly and multiethnic ) NUNHEAD ( a truly hidden gem, leafy , quiet, family residential) The house is surrounded by green spaces and so has a country-side feel, but at only few bus stops away or a 15 minutes walk along the park you will find local markets , shops , restaurants, pubs , cinema , stations and banks . The house is facing a private golf course , a short walk away ( 2 minutes ) there are BRENCHLEY GARDENS with nice view all over the city. Across the road then you will find the Natural Reserve of One Tree Hill , perfect for a relaxing wood walk . At 5 minutes walk down the road there is Peckham Rye Park ( with Japanese garden , ducks pond , an adventure playground and a nice coffee bar ) . The Ivy house , the first London community owned pub is also at around 5 minutes walk . The attached neighbourhood of EAST DULWICH is at few bus stops where you walk along Lordship Lane for nightlife with lots of restaurants and pubs . On Peckham , Rye Lane , markets in the morning or you can go to famous night clubs in The bussey Building , drink at one of the best London bar on the roof terrace ( according to Time Out London ) or go to the cheapest cinema in town . Other easy to reach local attractions are : -BROCKWELL LIDO /park ( finest art deco lido , with open air swimming pool and a restaurant/café, weather permitting! -DULWICH PARK with DULWICH Picture Gallery nearby . -HORNIMAN MUSEUMS AND GARDENS with internal aquarium. -NUNHEAD CEMETERY , interesting walk in this Victorian site with gothic chapels . Excellent transport links on buses , London overground and national rail ( zone 2) . Buses from our doorstep: 484 and 343 ( 24 h night bus ) to central London , going to London Bridge to one way , passing from Elephant and castle station , where you can take the tube . Or going to New cross Gate to the other way ( 8 minutes) where is the overground that in only 3 stops connects you with Canada Water station ( Jubilee line tube ) or to visit the trendy area of Shoreditch high street in 15 minutes . Bus 12 ( 24h night ) from down the park directly to Central Big Ben or Oxford Cirus in about 1 hours Bus 78 from down the park to Tower bridge in about 30 minutes . Overground and train stations nearby : Peckham rye ( train to London Bridge in 15 minutes ) New cross gate Denmark Hill Honor oak park This room accommodate two persons , but we have another master bedroom in the same house with a double bed + extra single bed , listed on airbnb as well , at around £40 per night , so if you are a group of 3 you can book that room if available or if you are 4/5 persons you can book both rooms
