The Silo

We have a unique space for you to relax. The newly converted grain silo is a rare and quirky space, and makes the ideal getaway for a holiday in the countryside or a perfect romantic break. This is a very private and secluded space with many walks to choose from, right from your door step. Insta- @thesilostay Guests have the entire space to themselves Plenty of parking Outdoor space including lawn area and wildlife pond. Welcome hamper included- Tea/ coffee/ orange juice/ locally sourced milk/ bread/ eggs. Pets - Dogs and cats welcome for a £10 fee 😁 Linda and Nigel will be available for any queries and are just across the road in the Wern cottage. Their contact details are provided in the silo. We can also provide cakes on arrival at an extra cost please see picture for details of contact info for cakes. We are a mile outside the village of Sarn and the closest town is a short 5 mile drive. Montgomery has everything you might need and is a very interesting and historic market town. Guests have the entire place The local village of Sarn, has a lovely little pub -The Sarn Inn, which offers great meals The pub also has a garden shop which is run by Claire Austin - daughter of ‘David Austin’ roses (currently closed due to COVID) Sarn also offers many walks close by and makes a good base for those walking the Kerry Ridgeway and Offa’s Dyke. The local town of Montgomery is a historic market town with attractions including Montgomery Castle, quirky little shops as well as weekly market day on Thursdays. A car is the best way to get around- there is plenty of parking right next to the Silo Directions: Postcode is SY16 4EL When you turn into Wern Lane , continue for approx 1/2 mile and you will come to Wern cottage SY164EL (first house on your left )the silo is situated opposite Wern cottage in an orchard . Just past Wern cottage (20 yards ) the entrance to the silo is on your right ,almost a u turn . Immediately in front of you is a double garage with a parking space to the left ,the key safe is on the garage wall underneath the security light .The key code will be given on booking.
