The Steading is situated 1.3 miles from the centre of Wigton, which is the nearest small town. Carlisle, with all the facilities of a small city is 11 miles away. Lake Bassenthwaite and Keswick in the North Lakes are 15 and 20 miles away respectively. The pretty market town of Cockermouth is 15 miles away and the Solway Coast at Silloth is 13 miles. There is plenty of Parking next to the Stables. It's a 15-20 minute walk into Wigton, the nearest town, but you will need a car to access Carlisle, the coast and the pretty towns and villages of the North Lakes.
