At 1,400 ft above sea level, the view here is comparable to the views you would get at High Point State Park, without the hike. Enjoy nature without ever stepping out of the 2,300sq ft house. Wall to wall windows ensure you experience breathtaking views all from the comforts of home. Although you may never want to leave, Mountain Creek is only a 8 mins drive and Warwick less than 20 mins. For entertainment inside the house: There is a large 65" and a small 36" TV. Both have Roku along with DIRECTV streaming service which will give you cable tv channels and local channels such as ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox. It will also have apps such as Disney+, HBOmax, Netflix, but you will have to use your own account for these. Board games are also available. Wifi is available throughout the house at 65Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. The kitchen is stocked w/ pots, pans, utensils, glassware, plates, and bowls. There is a reverse osmosis water filter set up in the kitchen sink. There is also a Keurig and Nespresso machine with K-cups and Nespresso pods provided. There is a 32 inch monitor, keyboard, mouse, mesh chair and desk for you to use. There are 2 decks, one off of the kitchen and one in the master bedroom. Please make sure to use the screen doors. You are in the woods so expect bugs! Both have outdoor furniture including a Weber grill. You will have access to the house except for the garage, a storage closet located in the loft space and a storage closet located outside of the house. There is a long driveway that allows for multiple car parking. Not suitable for infants/toddlers and people with mobility issue. There are multiple steps in and out of the house. For the safety of our guests and property there is a Ring video doorbell on the exterior main entrance of the house and a Ring floodlight camera by the garage. The camera function will be triggered by prolonged motion or if doorbell is pressed. Both do not see inside the house and outside view is limited to where it’s located. The house is equipped with an ecobee smart thermostat. You will notice smart sensors throughout the house. They are not cameras. They do not capture/transmit sound or videos. These smart sensors connect wirelessly to the ecobee thermostats to deliver set temperature to the rooms. The house is also equipped with Nest smoke and CO detectors. These devices sense smoke. They do not transmit sound or video. There is no Alexa device used in this property. There is a long driveway for multiple car parking. However, we suggest parking at the top of the driveway for easier access into the house, especially when coming with luggages. Please do not park on the street. Also note if you park at the base of the driveway you will need to hike up a small hill to get to the entrance of the house. Entrance has a security pad which needs a pin code to enter. You're on a dead end road to create privacy and seclusion while being 1,400 feet above sea level. You can actually see High Point State Park's tower from our view. There is a coffee shop, grocery shopping, and pharmacy all within a 5 minute drive from the mountain house. You will need a car to get around. However if you plan to stay indoors for your time here (why would you need/want to leave?) you can hop on a bus from NYC. Getting here from Port Authority: Nearest bus stop from NYC is using Bus #194 where it drops you off at "Rt 23 Southbound at St Johns Church". From here you can take an Uber/Lyft to the house which is about a 30 minute drive from the bus stop This property sits on 2 acres of land. Your neighbor to the left is separated by 1 acre of wooded space. The neighbor to the right is separated by .25 acres of wooded area. You may be lucky during your stay to see some wildlife from the property. These include deer, gophers, rabbits, red robin, woodpeckers, blue jays, hawks, black bear, wild turkeys and foxes.
