Bright King bedroom in renovated historic home. Walking distance to town and 1 mile from Colby. Shared bathroom with room #3. Renovated modern bath directly across from your bedroom, soaking tub and walk-in 4x 4 tiled shower. Bedrooms in the house are rented out separately but entire house can be rented. Eachbedroom has electronic keypad lock on doors for security. Shared common spaces include an eat-in kitchen, dining room, 2 living rooms, 1 which has a gas fireplace. Excellent Wi-Fi We tried to keep the character of the old house but with modern touches and conveniences. This house captures the essence of a small town America with a wrap around porch at the front and a barn at the back. Walk to the center of e Waterville and some local restaurants and pubs. Easy to get to Colby or Thomas college. This house backs onto the Messalonskee Stream. Many guest have told me this is the best kept secret in Watervile The bedroom and bathroom shown in the listing photos are yours to use. Feel free to use all the shared spaces. I think you will find everything you need for your stay. I am reachable through text or email if there are any questions. I also have a notebook of things to know about the house and recommended places to eat in and around Waterville. Waterville was an old mill town that is getting re-invigorated and beginning to have a lively downtown with the expansion of some Colby College buildings downtown. The downtown also has a performing arts center and some good restaurants. Burleigh street is a quiet family street close enough to walk downtown. The surrounding neighborhood is full of houses of similar size and vintage. Our neighbors are friendly and outgoing. We have found the whole town to be helpful and friendly. You will want a car in Waterville, the town is walking distance approx. 10 min walk to the center of town. The town of Waterville doesn't have any public transportation. There are only a few rules: Be a good neighbor, this is a family neighborhood, be respectful of others. Street parking available April 1 through November 30 other times cars MUST be parked in driveway. Please coordinate with other guests. We have very good Wi-Fi. There are smart TV's in each room and 2 TV's in shared spaces but NO cable you have access to shows through the internet. Each room sleeps 2 people .... No Parties. The shared areas “are shared” and guests must clean up after themselves, a sink full of dishes is not acceptable and if you choose to cook you must clean up "Leave it as you found it" is the rule for shared spaces of the house! Heat is set to 68 degrees during the day and 66 at night. Air conditioning is set to 72 during the day and night. These can be modified by the owner in advance in needed. We have Nest thermostats, and these are programed by the owner. When the house is empty the house temp is set to 50 degrees in winter and 80 degrees in summer so it may take a short while to bring the house to temperature for your stay
