Parkhouse Farm Holiday Cottages are situated in a very special location, peacefully and quietly tucked away on the grounds of a Grade II listed building. The cottages overlook a paddock, a wood and views over the magnificent Chew Valley countryside, yet are only a few minutes away from a lot of places of interest like Bristol, Bath, The Cotswolds, Wells (cathedral), Cheddar Gorge and the Mendips Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The perfect mix of country retreat and city break! The space Situated in the countryside with many walks to choose from and bustling with wildlife, Parkhouse Farm Cottages is also the perfect spot for nature lovers. A family of foxes, deer, newts and rare birds like the woodpecker and bull finches are only one of the few animals you can spot here. The cosy horse stable has been converted into two private and fully equipped apartments up to the highest standards, giving ultimate privacy. Poppy is the one on the right and has a private garden overlooking the paddock and a wood. Although petite in stature, the cottage oozes character and has all the qualities needed if you are looking for a rural retreat or romantic break. Shops, pubs, supermarkets and gift shops all within walking distance. The property has free parking and all the amenities to make it a great base from which to explore the popular cities Bristol & Bath, The Cotswolds, Wells and the Chew Valley countryside. Luxuriously furnished - it offers a good size double bedroom with wardrobe and a en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet,, basin and towel radiator. You can choose between either a king-size bed or 2 separate single beds. Comfortable beds and bedding along with towels, shower gel, shampoo and hair dryer are all provided for your convenience. The cosy sitting room has a comfy sofa, good size flat screen TV with Freeview and possibly to login to your Netflix and BBC Playeraccount, WiFi, and a digital radio with Bluetooth connection. The open-plan kitchen and living area with central heating are flooded with light from the French doors’ openings overlooking the paddock. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker and a combination microwave, oven and grill, kettle and toaster. A good amount of larder supplies will be provided as well as all crockery, cutlery and glassware etc. The private garden has a picnic table, romantic lights and a BBQ. Dogs are very welcome at Parkhouse Farm. There is a fenced of garden so it will be safe for your dog(s). Baby cot, high chair and toys are available on request. There is free parking on the premises. The town centre 1.9 miles with lots of shops, supermarkets and pubs and restaurants. There is a bus stop taking you to the town centre or to the train station on a 5-minute walk from the cottage. From the train station you can get the train into the centre of Bath and Bristol. In the town centre are 2 superstores: Waitrose and Tesco and a few smaller supermarkets like Sainsbury, Coop and Spar. You will have the use of the entire cottage, parking and part of the gardens. You will get a code to access the gate and cottage so you can come and go as you please. The stable is part of Parkhouse Farm, but is separated from the main house where we live. You will have total privacy but if you need us for anything, we are there to help. The preferred check in times are 3pm to 5pm and check out time is 10am but this is flexible with prior arrangement. Corona virus It is important to us to make sure your apartment will be spotless clean. Given the current Covid pandemic, we have undertaken to enhance our cleaning practices even further to give our guests further peace of mind. We follow the Airbnb guidance on the cleaning process and undertake some extra safety measures next to that. The cottage will be thoroughly cleaned when guests check out followed by complete sanitising of all surfaces, handles, kitchen appliances, sofa and washing al the dishes before arriving of guests check in. We wash our hands regularly and use gloves while cleaning, changing sheets and handling food. To give you further peace of mind we will make sure there will be sanitisers available in the cottage.
