From the first moment they made us feel welcome like long lost family. We fell into a pattern of sharing the shopping and taking turns cooking, eating together and sharing our experiences of the day and of life. They have a wonderful sense of humor, and were full of excellent advice on what to see and do in Christchurch and in New Zealand in general. The house is lovely, with a spacious living and dining rooms, which are bordered by a veranda. It's beautifully situated on the slope of the hills to the south of the downtown area, and provides a stunning view of the mountains to the north in the background, and the lights of the downtown area below in the foreground. We stayed one month with Sean and Vee, and hope to return for a similar time to Christchurch in about two years, and again stay with them.
