A quirky barn conversion in a rural setting

You are very welcome at Goosebarn, a quirky, self contained, self catering, new conversion of an old building on my tiny farm. Set in rolling chalk downland, we are in the centre of Dorset with easy access to picturesque villages, historic towns, harbours and a spectacular coastline. I am an architect so I have saved random building materials from many jobs. I have built these into the barn so that it's shabby more than chic. Don't expect 5 star luxury. Nothing matches, cutlery, crockery, curtains or bed linen but it's clean, warm, dry and comfortable. You can sit on the deck, watch the sunset, it's private. It's in the former farmyard so expect materials and bits of machinery around. To be absolutely clear about the sleeping arrangements, there is one double bed in the main bedroom, bunk beds in the children's room and a comfortable sofa, not a sofa bed, in the living room. You park directly outside the barn. Nowhere on the farm is out of bounds, walk in the fields with the Geese and Alpacas. Kids can play on my old tractor, yes it still works. I live in the farmhouse nearby, I'm around if you need me and I'm working from home. If I go to my office it's only 15 minutes away. I have lived in this immediate area most of my life so I can help you with ideas, where to go, what to do. But if you want privacy I'll leave you alone. It's a rural location and you know that you're in the countryside, with glorious scenery, historic villages and walks nearby. Poole Harbour 20 mins drive. The Jurassic coast and great beaches a few more minutes. Blandford with all the facilities of a market town with cafes, gift shops, historic buildings, 4 major supermarkets, is only 3 miles away. We are near a main road, you can hear it outside the barn at rush hour, but it's quiet in the evenings. Your own vehicle is essential to get to the coast, to shop and to enjoy the area generally. There is parking directly outside the barn for 2 cars. If you have a motorbike, that can be locked up under cover. I don't want to be a killjoy but...... Sorry, no single sex groups/parties or events. No 3rd party bookings; No unregistered guests, unless you check with me first. Bookings may not be accepted if guests are from separate households. Please contact me first if you are from more than one household. If people that arrive are not those guests named on the booking, I may require them to leave immediately. We will attempt to find them alternative accommodation. No dogs allowed, please check with me first about any other pets. No naked flame bbqs, electric griddle is provided. No food or drink in bedrooms. No loud noise after midnight. You must abide by government Covid regulations.
