The cosy room is on the top floor of our Victorian house in the heart of Taunton with private parking. The room is nicely decorated and furnished with a super comfortable bed & duck-down duvet. Walk into town in 5 mins, 5 mins from the station too! Our home is a period Victorian house with original features - it's a warm and welcoming space and has been our family home for 19 years. We'll be happy to help you in any way we can to make your stay memorable. You'll have free access to your bedroom, shared bathroom, breakfast room and the sitting room. We'll serve you a good breakfast to set you up for the day or if timings don't suit, we'll leave it all 'ready to go'! We'll try to help you as much as we can when you're here with us, work dependant - we do like to meet people and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Equally so, if you'd prefer a more 'low-key' approach, we'll just point everything out, leave you to it and respect your privacy. We are 5 mins walk into the County town centre and 2 mins walk from the newly created "country open space" of Longrun Meadow - 5 mins walk from the main line train station. Taunton has a rich history and this can be seen in some of its historic buildings and at Taunton Castle which is home to the newly refurbished Museum of Somerset. We are nestled at the bottom of the beautiful Quantock Hills - great walks can be enjoyed, with driving access to the fantastic beaches of North Devon - we've just spent a week surfing and body-boarding there ...... Taunton is well connected in terms of public transport - local buses to everywhere - main line trains take you to London or Cornwall in 1.50hrs.
