Pretty detached bungalow situated in the historic village of Appledore, surrounded by vineyards and farmland, which hosts a village pub, general store/post office, church & antique shop. Close to the market towns of Tenterden and Rye. The coast is 15 minutes drive. Ideal for country walks. Many public footpaths and the Saxon Way. Beautiful coastal area, popular with cyclists and wine lovers . Ashford Intl Train station is 20 mins for London and Paris. Private parking. Pets are welcome. Our guests are welcome to use the whole garden area which is approximately 2 acres including the field at the back of the main barn. It is fenced at the back as sheep graze in adjoining fields. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure your dog is well behaved around livestock. Thank you. Our guest's dogs happily run around the open space at the rear. However, please note, it is not advisable for your dogs to run off the lead at the front garden as it is the driveway and the main gate is often open. We also have two cats and a labrador living on the property. Plenty of private off road parking. There are lovely walks across the fields and along the canal bank directly from the cottage. You can walk to the village shop in just over five minutes and Miss Mollett's High Class Tearoom and the Black Lion, village pub is approximately ten minutes. We are very approachable and we live in the main barn on the premises. We are situated in the pretty village of Appledore which hosts a pub, The Black Lion, serving good traditional pub food. We also have a well stocked village store/post office, hair salon and rec. ground with childrens play area and tennis court. We have many walks in the area including the Saxon Way and the Military Canal. We are just 15 mins drive from the coast where you can enjoy areas such as Camber, Dungeness, Rye and Hastings etc. Canterbury is approximately 45 minutes drive or you can take the train from Appledore and change at Ashford. We have a number of vineyards nearby which offer wine tours and tastings. Popular destination for cyclists, dog walkers, ramblers and wine lovers. Nearby historic towns of interest are Tenterden, Rye, Hastings, Battle and Winchelsea. Off road parking next to cottage in large shared driveway. We have a small train station in Appledore with regular trains and we are twenty minutes from Ashford International Train Station offering an extensive train service to include London and Paris. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and extra pillows. Underfloor heating and Secure parking. Garage can be used to store bicycles and for maintenance if needed. We provide a 32" HD Smart TV with freeview, so you can log into your Netflix accounts etc. We have tennis racquets and balls for guests use. There are two courts at the village recreation ground just 5 minutes walk from us. We also have several badminton racquets and shuttlecocks and a younger children's soft ball set. You are also welcome to use these in the garden.
