St Paul Room with Heart
A comfortable quiet room is waiting for you in St Paul's well-established West Side neighborhood. About 1.5 Miles from downtown St Paul, a few blocks from the Mississippi River and easy access to I-35E, I-94 and I-494, as well as Minneapolis. This private room is perfect for weekend tourists or weekday business people. Everything you need to be comfortable while you are away from home. This area has so much to offer in every season! Your home away from home is a private bedroom with a fridge, microwave oven, and amenities to make your stay comfortable. The Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen are available for your use. I love hosting and will do what I can to make your stay here comfortable while not being overly involved. It is up to you. (please note: This house is 130 years old and the stairs to get to your room are steep with a sturdy handrail. Please use care when using them.) The room is located inside my home. There is a coded lock on the front door so you can come and go as you please. Your room is on the second floor and shares the bathroom with one other guest room (no more than 2 guests at a time.). Currently, due to the pandemic, common areas are not available. This is my home, so I am around most of the time and am available for questions and conversations, if you feel so moved. I appreciate your privacy and will let you determine the amount of interaction we have. The house is in a quiet, established neighborhood. There is a park next door and it is a short walk to the bluffs above the Mississippi River and the Mississippi River Trail. Not far away is Harriet Island and a paved walking or biking trail through Lilydale Regional Park. Downtown St Paul is just over a mile away where there are very good restaurants, Xcel Energy Center (home of the Wild hockey team), and CHS Stadium (home of the Saints baseball team). The beautiful Cathedral and the State Capital building are also nearby. Minnesota State University and other universities and colleges are near. Downtown Minneapolis and MSP Airport are each an easy 10 mile trip away. Buses run through the neighborhood and can get you to the light rail train and Union Depot. When you arrive by car, ample free parking is available on the street out front of the house. COVID-19: I practice social distancing, I request that you do the same. Masks are required in public establishments in St Paul. You will find hand sanitizer, paper towels and cleaner in the closet.
