Cosy, family friendly fishing cabin on the Wye

A self-contained, detached studio on the edge of the river Wye featuring your own wet room, Nespresso machine and kitchen. Ideal for all visitors to Herefordshire whether you're on a wedding, fishing trip, walking holiday or just fancy a tranquil weekend chilling out in the countryside. Easy and direct access to the property along with a key safe allows you to get in any time day or night. The studio has a king size double bed and sofa bed. It can sleep up to 4 adults if sharing. We enjoyed living in this studio for 3 years while renovating our house and now would love to share it with you. It's totally separate from our house but we're a stone's throw away if you need us. We have river access via a canoe launch which is a short walk down the road (fine to carry canoes to/from) making this an ideal stop over for a weary paddler or someone looking to enjoy a little time on the river. There are great fishing spots locally available on a day ticket, we can send you details of where to book before you stay. The deck at the front of the studio is ideal for drying kit and prepping for the day ahead. For those who are looking for a longer stay, the studio features a fully functioning kitchen with fridge (with ice box), oven, induction hob, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. We stock it with tea, coffee and biscuits ready for you. The entire studio is heated with underfloor heating and has lovely large windows which look out over the garden which you're welcome to use -kids love playing with the chickens. You have access to a wood fired hot tub by prior arrangement ar a cost of £50 per stay to cover the cost cleaning/filling/heating it. Please let us know if you'd like to use it during the stay. You will have full use of the entire studio, outside decking area which is great for alfresco dining and convenient parking to the front of the property. If you need to store any guns over night you can do in our gun safe. We live a stone's throw away and are more than happy to help you as needed or leave you be if preferred. Situated in a quiet hamlet of only a few houses right on the edge of the river Wye this is the perfect place to relax and unwind for a few days. Easy access to Ross-on-Wye (4 miles - 10 minutes), Hereford (12 miles - 20 minutes) and Monmouth (14 - 25 minutes) means shops are on your doorstep if you need them. It's easiest to drive however train/taxi links are available from Hereford and Ledbury if required. We're child friendly and have two young children so can make a baby changer, cot and other equipment available if required. This is a great location for many of the local popular wedding venues including How Caple Court (5 minutes drive), Homme House (15 mintues drive) and Ross-on-Wye (5 minutes drive) to name a few. We have been very careful during the COVID-19 outbreak and have remained clear of the virus. We have taken additional cleaning steps for the studio by wiping down all surfaces and handles to detox spray and boil wash all linen as standard. We'll leave a bottle of detox in the studio for you if you want to clean it yourself.
