Belton House - Rose Room

Rural Anderson 15 minutes from historic Anderson with many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. We are 15 minutes from Anderson University & 20 minutes from Erskine College, in normal traffic. We are 3 miles from Broadway Lake, please use that when trying to figure distance. Traffic time varies with area events. Turn of the century refurbished home. Much charm & plenty of privacy, 10+ acres w/pecans trees, wild blackberries & a huge fig tree, acreage is not part of the common area. Large room with luxurious queen sleigh bed. This room is on the second floor. Your private bath is on the second floor and has a claw-foot tub and a hand shower. (It is not on-suite.) There is no shower. As can be seen there is not enough head room to stand. The hand shower can be used while sitting in the claw-foot tub. Guest enter through the main entrance of the house into a large foyer. There are two guests rooms upstairs. There is a dedicated bathroom for each guest room, one is on the ground floor, the other is on the second floor. The dedicated bathroom for this room is on the second floor, it is not on-suite. It does not have a shower. It has a claw-foot tub with a hand shower. As can be seen in the pictures because of the dormered ceiling there is not enough head room to stand. The hand shower can be used while sitting in the claw-foot tub or you can have a good old soak in the over sized tub. Rural property on 14 plus acres, many established oak trees. We have pecan trees, wild blackberries and a huge fig tree. We ask that our guests stay to the front of the house. We have 10 plus unkept acers with many natural and un-natural hazards. We also have several out buildings with personal property in them. We are happy to give any guest a guided tour, you just have to ask us. Thanks for respecting our privacy. We are approx. 15 minutes from Anderson University, approx. 20 minutes from Erskine College and approx. 45 minutes from Clemson University in normal traffic, event traffic could take hours. We are three miles from Broadway Lake, please use that as a reference for travel time. Travel time during a college (listed above) event can be excessive. We are approx. an hour from GSP Airport, approx. two and half hours from either Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport or Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We are seven miles from historic downtown Anderson where there are many shops and restaurants, as well as the Anderson County Museum, Anderson Art Center, Anderson Farmer's market and the Electric City Playhouse. We are approx. 30 minutes from historic Abbeville, SC, home to the Abbeville Opera House, the historic haunted Belmont Inn and restaurant. Abbeville is a market town and has many restaurants, festivals and activities to enjoy all year long. We are approx. two hours from Biltmore House in Ashville, NC, NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC and approx. two and half hours from Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC. We are less than ten miles from either AnMed Anderson hospitals. We are less than five miles from Patrick B Harris Hospital and the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. We are approx. 20 minutes from Diamond Hill in Abbeville, SC. We are aprox. 15 minutes from the Belton Gun Club and tennis courts. As we are rural we have a number outside cats but they usually shy away from guests. We have a rescue dog named Lucy. We keep the glass paneled kitchen door closed in order to keep Lucy out of the guest area of the house. There is a smart TV with cable access but you will have to log into your own subscriptions.
