Old Orchard Cottage @East Underdown in Dartmoor NP

Old Orchard dates from the 1700’s and was once part of a traditional farm. This modern barn conversion is equipped with modern essentials: central heating, full kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. But the cottage still retains much of its historic charm. Located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and in the middle of rolling hills, it’s the perfect spot to get away from it all. There are two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Unlimited access to the indoor pool, sauna and games barn. Old Orchard is the most popular of 3 cottages located at East Underdown. The cottages were converted from 2 17th century barns. The pool and games barn are available for guests. There is a fenced green play space behind the pool building. The cottages themselves are situated in the middle of 8 acres of farmland. Guests can enjoy the peace of the countryside with easy access to the A30 dualcarriageway and the rest of the South West. Owner and family live onsite. Happy to help with local knowledge and information. A car is recommended. There is plenty of free parking onsite. The 3 cottages @East Underdown were converted into holiday accommodation in 1997. They were built in the mid 17th century. and we’re part of a working farm into the late 20th century. The cottages continue to be owned and maintained by the same family with long time Devon roots.
