When staying, guests have complete private use of the cottage and spa deck. further to this, for long term guests there is access to a laundry with washer and dryer and clothes line for their own use. Please check with host in regard to laundry use. Generally we are on site to greet guests whenever possible. For your ease of departing checkout is 11.00am. Please ensure you depart on time as we like to have the cottage pristine for each and every guest, it might be you. Mountview Cottage is located in The Basin, a small suburb based in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. There is a milkbar/fish & chip shop at end of street, a small shopping strip within 2 kms, Irish Tavern, Peacock Cocktail Bar (opens 5pm) 3 coffee shops, bakery, bottle shop, and pantry for those really fresh veg and locally made condiments. In General a car is preferred to get around this area. There is a bus stop at the end of the street. Railway station is 3 km away in Boronia Guests need to be aware that our cottage unfortunately is not wheel chair friendly. We live in the mountains and the block is somewhat steep. There is a dozen or so steps to access cottage. Our cottage is very much about opportunity to relax and unwind from the stress of life. Noise must be kept to a minimum, especially in later evenings.
