Enjoy a quiet, luxury lakefront estate on 10 rolling acres with 270° water views! Close to DC, Virginia mountains and hiking, wineries and breweries. Great for families, couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. Beautiful and welcoming, our Lakeside Retreat is dreamy and peaceful. Enjoy geese, heron, swan, Eagles and beautiful song birds outside when you're not being pampered inside luxurious accommodations. Fish off our private peninsula, canoe the lake or soak luxuriously in the hot tub on the back deck overlooking the breathtaking view. Canoe, two man row boat, hot tub, pool and peaceful strolls through our yard, pool table on ground floor. Well stocked kitchen. Ample sleeping room for 17-20 (using blow up mattresses or sofa beds). Upon welcome and daily only if needed Our neighborhood is quiet and well maintained. Folks are friendly and thoughtful. You can walk easily in the neighborhood and a path takes you to a small marina. A good walk could take you to a neighboring brewery. The tour by boat of Lake Brittle is lots of fun. The hikes and walking paths near us are wonderful. You can drive half an hour to metro or one hour to DC. One hour south and west takes you to some of the prettiest mountain views Nearby within five to ten minutes drive you find a wonderful wegman's grocery store and all sorts of dining and shopping experiences There are eight bedrooms with nine beds that can sleep seventeen easily. We have a few air mattresses and fold out couches to accommodate more in the lower level living area. There are lots of toys for little ones and lots of tvs and games for older ones. Pool table in basement too and lots of toys for smaller children; books and movies. Although we have a walk in tub for those who might need such and a huge shower with a seat in the apartment/suite, we do not have the secure wall handles you might expect to find for handicapped. I had at one time thought that we were sufficiently providing for handicap as my mother was handicapped, but now I think not so much.
