In the heart of the Blackdown Hills surrounded by deer, pheasants and National Trust Woodland, The Lookout is a luxurious, private annex set within the historic Woodhayne Farm. Located just a 10 minute walk from Honiton where you can find lovely local shops, pubs and restaurants. The coast is only a 20 minute drive away with lots of beaches to choose from and the city of Exeter also just 20 minutes by car. Perfect for guests who are looking for luxury accommodation with the comforts of home. The Lookout is a self contained private annex on the side of our 200 year old farmhouse. It has a large Kitchen equipped with a double oven, hob, breadmaker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge is spacious with a 43” TV with Freeview , a Nintendo Wii and a selection of board games and books. The large bedroom has a extremely comfortable superking bed, lots of built in storage and seating to enjoy a coffee in the morning, whilst taking in the view where you will often see deer and pheasant in the field in front of the house. The bathroom has a large shower with plenty of pressure and hot water for a great shower. The house benefits from central heating. Guests will need to park to the right of the annex. I would suggest driving past the driveway and reversing in. There is a private dog proof garden with a large table and deck chairs and plenty of grass lawn for you to enjoy along with a private hot tub. Dogs are welcome to be walked up and down the drive and in front of the house. Access to the fields in not permitted unless advised when checking in. We like to provide our guests with as much privacy as they desire, but I am usually working from home in the main Farmhouse so am available if guests need assistance. Combe Raleigh is a super friendly village where community spirit is very important. Everyone is only too happy to help each other. The property is perfectly located close to so many attractions, beaches, and to the town of Taunton and the city of Exeter. The historic town of Honiton, famous for it’s many antique shops and an amazing ice cream shop is within a 5 minute walk. There is parking for The Lookout for two cars, or more by separate arrangement. You can catch a train from Honiton to Exeter which takes 15/20 minutes. It is only a 5 minute walk into Honiton, making it very easy to get around by bike or on foot. This is our family home and we have a 2 year old boy, 2 small dogs, 2 kittens and 3 horses.
