Frog Hollow Cottage is a newly renovated getaway located in the heart of the Chester County’s rolling farmland and equestrian community. Overlooking beautiful pastures, the cottage was formerly the large painting studio of Delaware Valley artist Peter Sculthorpe. The studio has been re-imagined as a peaceful retreat for families, friends and couples. The first floor features a new kitchen, full bath, queen size bed, sitting and dining area, and cozy wood burning stove. Large 55” TV has cable and ability to log into your own Netflix, Amazon or Hulu account. Second floor loft is perfect for additional guests with two twin beds, powder room, laundry and additional closets. The cottage is a modern open space where first first floor is essentially a studio style apartment and the second floor loft is open to the first floor. So if having closed/private spaces is important to your stay, our place might not be the right fit for you. Frog Hollow Farm has an ideal location for exploring Chester County, PA and beyond. Historic Kennett Square, West Chester and Downingtown are all an easy 20 minute drive. The location is perfect for equestrians, garden enthusiasts and vacationers looking for a comfortable getaway in the countryside. For equestrians, the cottage is minutes away from Plantation Field, several Olympic trainers, world-class horse breeders and is in the heart of Mr. Stewart's Cheshire Foxhounds hunt country. For the garden enthusiast, Longwood Gardens is only 15 minutes, 30 to Mt. Cuba and 45 to Chanticleer. Additionally, The Brandywine River Museum of Art, Winterthur Museum & Gardens and the charm of Lancaster County are just a short drive. For an additional charge, horse stalls and pasture turnout can be made available upon request.
