Welcome to the Poplar Inn. Modern, luxurious studio apartment located 1/2 block from the Wesleyan College campus. Completely furnished; all you need to settle in are your clothes. Includes wifi, Netflix, and reliable satellite TV. We have thought of everything to make you comfortable and relaxed, and with a feeling of being at home. All cookware, dinnerware, and silverware are provided. Toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, iron and ironing board, and ice maker are there for your convenience. More than enough natural and artificial light from the skylight, light tunnel, and numerous LED recessed lights. Queen-size bed with LED reading lamps and charging stations on each side. Celular blackout blinds on all windows for those who like a fully dark sleeping space. Whisper-quiet AC and heat. With the cold winds blowing outside, you'll relax in one of two armchairs, gas fireplace logs glowing, while enjoying a good book or a movie on the large screen LED TV. And wait until you see the bathroom. Modern, spacious walk-in shower enclosure with standard and rainfall showerheads. Fully tiled in large-format porcelain tiles, this spacious bathroom has all of the classic fixtures. Thermostatically controlled bathroom heater. Large capacity, front-loading washer and dryer available on site. Comes with reserved off-street parking and shaded deck, featuring our namesake, the beautiful tulip poplar. Handicap accessible. Fourteen miles from I-79. Please, no smoking, no pets Guests will have access to all areas of the apartment including the deck. We live about 40-45 minutes away and will be available via our landline, cell voice and text. Poplar Inn is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with a mix of elderly, family, and student residents. The Old Town area is a short distance away and includes several top restaurants, a brew bub, fajita shop, and antique stores. In the spring and summer, the city is filled with flowers and features the Strawberry Festival in May and Festival Fridays at Jawbone Park in the city center where live music and homemade food abounds. Snowshoe Ski Resort is 90 minutes to the east. Other points of interest include Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Canaan Valley Ski Resort, and Stonewall Jackson Resort. The Buckhannon River is just a short walk from Poplar Inn. Buckhannon is pedestrian-friendly and several bike/hiking trails are maintained.
