Meadow Sweet Cottage, overlooking Okehampton

My place is close to family-friendly activities and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the kitchen, the cosiness, and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). Meadow sweet cottage is in a short lane from a county road just one mile out side of Okehampton and the Main A30 road. Meadow sweet cottage is a 4 star Visit England graded cottage and we have welcome guest from all over the world since 2002. The cottage has a entrance hall, with space for walking boots, coats, cases, cycles etc. this leads into the pleasent sitting room with settee, armchair TV ect. the Kitchen is well equipped with a electric cooker, microwave, fridge, frezer, washer/drier. kettle, toaster, etc. there is a county style dinning room with round table to sit 4 + a high chair, down stairs there is also a WC and a Shower room. up stairs, you will find the romantic double bed room with Great views of Dartmoor National Park and Okehampton , the bathroom with WC hand basin and a bath with shower over the bath, a cosy twin room with views of the fields and the countryside. Just 100 meters up the road form Meadow sweet is East Hook where my mum and sister live and there you can meet the farm animals. and buy fresh laid eggs. Guest have access to all of the cottage, and out side there is ample parking space for 2 cars, and lots of grass lawn and trees, with seats so you can enjoy the view of Okehampton and Dartmoor national Park. In the cottage there are lots of information of visitor attractions, in Devon. Maps, a folder all about food where to buy and where to eat, a information folder with lot of local information. Great views of Dartmoor National Park, Stunning views of Okehamptn Quite and a great place to see wild life, Great for walking on the famous Traka Trail. great for cycling route 27 at the end of the lane. Great base if you have friend and family living in Okahmpton and you have come to visit them if they do not have room for you to stay with them. Okeahampton has a great bus link with Exeter, airport and st Davids train station, there is also a taxi service in the town. and cycle hire, and a train trip to Meadon. which is great fun. Meadow sweet is on the cycle route 27 so is a great base if you like to cycle. also it is on the world famous Tarka Trail Footpath and next to AbbyFord woods so a great base for walking and getting out in the country side.
