Cosy cottage ON THE BEACH! STUNNING VIEW!
Monte Argentario- authentic, real-Tuscany's well kept secret. Upper floor of villa with a balcony, with a table on and an amazing view of the sea. We love our home because it's light, cosy, breezy, relaxing. All newly renovated :) Literally 10 paces from the beach, there is a road so expect some road noise! Private outdoor space to celebrate together with seating for 10 around marble table, grill, hammock and extra large outdoor sofa. Follow us (Hidden by Airbnb) : casahc It's a sweet beach villa, split into 2 apartments. This is the top floor with the view. It's right on the edge of the bay, so a sea view to the front and beautiful hills and countryside to the back. We have a great chill out area (hammock) and grill and you can navigate by foot, car, bus or bike and are never too far away from the bustle. If that's what you like, this is your place. It's local, but touristy, great balance to have an easy holiday. Perfect for families on the go :). (Website hidden by Airbnb) and a great blog on our beaches- take your pick! (Website hidden by Airbnb) The villa is surrounded by a fenced, private garden it is about 50m2. Half is for the upstairs apartment and the other half for downstairs-each with their own outside grill and dining area, you just share the back gate. You have sun on the back patio until it drops behind the hills at 6pm. Really pretty. You have very convenient parking right in front of the gate, so that's handy for gear. The beach is 15 seconds away and if you mention my name the beach clubs will give you a good day rate to hire beds and an umbrella. Happy to share all the best places to hang and people watch. Easy to get to, just put in Hotel Baia d'Argento, Porto Santo Stefano or Casa HC in you navigation and take a left after the hotel and its the yellow villa on your right. I or Lucia, our local host will always be reachable in case you need anything, before and during your stay. For your total convenience we have key box flexible self check-in and can work with you if you need a custom check-in or a place to leave luggage on your departure day. I am always available online or on the phone to help or advise in anyway :) Very safe and friendly, just make your self at home at Il Pozzarello or down to Porto Santo Stefano. Parking: 3 spots right outside the back gate, next to the house. Doctors and Emergencies: You can be seen by a doctor 7 days a week in Porto Santo Stefano or in Albinia at Misericordia. No appointment required and a great service for 15$ for non-residents. Free otherwise. Best Beach Club: There are loads, many on Feniglia- Braccio for best homemade pasta or tenda gialla os they love dogs, il Tramonto on Giannella. Nice one at Porto Ercole, it all depends on the wind. North or south to see which side of the island you should go to. Nearest Coffee & Restaurant: is Il Pozzarello (our bay) o Due Pini (the next bay 'Soda') or at Pozzarello La Rosa, which is just open for dinner and very good. Bike Hire: Orbetello Old Town Scuba & Diving: Porto Santo Stefano/Porto Ercole every weekend the boats go out. Golf: Argentario Golf Resort & Spa. Nice course and restaurant too. Club house is sweet too. We have two beach bikes you can take and ride to Porto Santo Stefano to get to the secret coves or into town. Just lock it up when parked. Access to Porto Santo Stefano is by foot through the 'Le Varche', which is a disused railway tunnel now turned into a walk way. Cross the street and head to the left, through the carpark of the beach and keep walking....you will pass beaches and arrive in the port. It's cool there in the summer too. In July and August there is a free beach bus that takes you from Pozzarello to Porto Santo Stefano, it uses the tunnels as well and comes once an hour. See the signs of the tunnel route for the exact times. If you are arriving by train into Orbetello check out this link for details: (Website hidden by Airbnb) If you would like to drive then you can visit the beaches further away and go around the 'island', which is secluded, beautiful and very diverse. Otherwise, abandon it and do all by foot. Go to the Isle of Giglio from Santo Stefano there’s a free bus to town that is just a minute from the villa. And the town is pretty well connected to the island of Giglio. There is a pedestrianized renovated old railway tunnel which you can take to the town of Porto Santo Stefano. Very safe and convenient. There is bike hire in Orbetello too, if you would like to do all by bike. You choose. If you are arriving by train from Orbetello Train station check this link for details on arrival to our home: (Website hidden by Airbnb) We are right next to the bus stops which come every half an hour to take you to either Porto Santo Stefano/ Orbetello/ Giannella o Porto Ercole, you don't even need to drive. Flag down the bus and just pay the driver. They are well used and safe and used by tourists :). There is a free bus into town from across the street. It is on the road, which we love as we are in the middle of sea, city and life. We have two small kids, who come and go as they please to the beach and potter in the garden and we all walk to the next bay and snorkel. It works really well if you don't want to drive ALL the time. Can train it easy to Rome or site see to Siena and Chianti shire in 45 mins :) The list goes on.... Extra change of bedding 25EUR, no problem
