Tranquil studio overlooking river!
A studio apartment situated in its own garden complete with private plunge pool and large terraced area. Situated in a pretty garden with its own private terrace and pool. It is the ideal location for exploring both St Antonin Noble Val and the surrounding area. Great for those who want to enjoy all that this region has to offer: cycling, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, fishing and birdwatching. Alternatively visit the local Sunday farmer's market, explore ruined castles and narrow caves as well as gothic cathedrals and local vineyards. Spend the evenings dining at the local restaurants and leave the car at home! The studio itself is open plan with a double bed, kitchenette and shower room. Tea and coffee are provided as well as all bedding and towels (for the pool shower and kitchen). There is a TV / DVD player and local guide books. The terrace overlooks the above ground pool (open from May - Sept /Oct depending on the weather and is equipped with chaises longues as well as a table and chairs shaded by the walnut tree. There is plenty of wildlife to see - red squirrels, woodpeckers and owls. There are also lots fishing spots along the river just 10 minutes walk from the studio where you can catch Barbel, Pike, Carp, Zander to name a few. The village has everything you need for your stay; supermarket, bank, post office, cinema (often with English films), newsagents. There are plenty of restaurants and bars too, some which overlook the river and cliffs as well as some great local places to go for a lazy afternoon either next to one of the beaches on the river or in yet another vibrant medieval town. Throughout the year there are a whole host of festivals to go to. A few are: Fête du sport – May – 3 days of outdoor activities (most of which are free) including canoeing, rock climbing, archery, zip lining … Fete de la Musique - 21st June - a country wide festival which celebrates the true diversity of music Samba Al Païs – July - 3 day World music festival Fête des Battages - 1st weekend in August - a day long festival of traditional farming techniques culminating in a 6 course open air meal. Fête du village – 2nd weekend in August – with open air disco and fireworks over the river Fêtes Médiévales - September includes all manner of medieval activities Fete de la pomme - October- where you can press your own apple juice! Plus during the summer months each village has its own week long summer festival which can include theatre, night markets, antique fairs, vide greniers (car boot sales) , outdoor discos and generally a firework display.
