‘Llys Arthur’ is a spacious traditional house situated in the charming slate mining village of Llanberis, at the foot of Snowdon. If you’re wishing for a get away adventure around Snowdon or a relaxing stay away ‘Llys Arthur’ is the home for you. With a garden back yard to put your feet up after a day of hiking and seeing the sights. A minute walk along the high street to all local cafes, pubs and restaurants, with Lake Padarn being a stone’s throw away. BT Fibre Broadband wifi speeds of approximately 35Mbps. Alexa! So feel free to ask about the weather, play some music, and even change the heating! (If you aren't comfortable with Alexa feel free to unplug it) Hive heating control, which can be set on a timer make the house nice and toasty after a nice day out. Ground Floor Living / Dining Room There is an open plan living and dining area with 2 spacious sofas and a large table which can comfortably fit all of you. Put a movie on the telly with our selection or dvds or just sign into your own Netflix or Prime video accounts on the smart TV. We also have a collection of books and board games which you can indulge yourself in after a day of adventuring. Feel free to set up on the spacious dining table if you have to work from 'home'. Kitchen With a fully kitted out kitchen to cook for your family and friends. We have many ways to make coffee for our fellow coffee lovers: instant, filter, cafetiere, cafe ole espresso maker AND a Tassimo coffee machine (we supply 2 pods to start you off, but feel free to bring your own supply). Utility Utility room in the back with a washing machine with detergent, extra storage and a place to put your wet clothes just in case you get caught out in the rain! Entrance hallway The hallway has hooks where you can hang your coats and keys. **No smoking indoor or outside the property.** First Floor We provide two towels per guest, so hopefully it can free up some extra room in your suitcases. There are 2 bedrooms: Lakeside room – A double bed with lots of space for your clothes, and a great view of the mountainside just out of the window. The Lions room – A single bed (with a pull out single bed underneath). Bathroom and a separate toilet room. Second floor The Quarry room – A bunk bed and a double bed, lots of storage, with a fantastic view of the Dinorwig Slate Quarry a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shower room - Electric shower in the eaves. Tresemme shampoo and conditioner, Simple shower gel provided. Please note the steps to the second floor are narrow and steep, so please take extra care. Back garden Out back is a place to put your feet up after a day of exploring and adventure. With a 6ft picnic table and table and chairs. (Please note that the table and chairs have temporarily covered and tied up for the winter, thank you for your understanding). The backyard is not suitable for unsupervised children. Dogs are welcome to chillax in the garden. We also have a eufy doorbell and backyard camera for security. Guest access You will have access to the whole house and the back garden yard. Please note that the steps up to patio in the backyard are steep, so please take extra care around these steps and in the backyard, thank you. Parking There is free road parking opposite the house and nearby side streets. Please be aware we do not allow children under the age of 2 years old, thank you for your understanding. You will have access to the whole house Groceries: There is a Spar just a 4 minute walk down the road, but if you want a bigger shop there is a Tesco, Morrisons and Asda just a 15 minute drive away in Caernarfon. Restaurants: There is the award winning restaurant The Peak and also the Spice of Llanberis for some great evening meals out. Pubs: Have a drink and perhaps some pub grub and visit The Royal Victoria Hotel with stunning views from its outdoor garden. Or visit The Heights which is just a 4 minute walk down the road, opposite to Spar. Coffee spots: Pantri is a great coffee shop just a few minutes away and is dog friendly! The world famous Pete's Eat is just 100 yards away for a cheap hikers cafe. Shopping centres: If you fancy a day out with a bit of shopping head out to Parc Llandudno Retail Park, its a 40 minute drive, but its a great place to visit a picturesque seaside beach with a pier that has arcade games and so much more! If you're looking for somewhere closer Deiniol Shopping Centre in Bangor is just 20 minutes away with over 20 shops there. You can get a bus to visit otherplaces nearby such as Caernafon on the 88 bus, Bangor on the 85 bus, Betws-y-Coed or Pen-y-Pass on the S2 bus. Please do use (Hidden by Airbnb) maps (or whichever you prefer) for travelling around in case there is a different bus to catch. Please note the stairs to the attic are quite narrow and steep so please do take extra care, however the views from up there are stunning.
