Family/twin or double room in 1st or Upper floor flat. 1 double + 1 single bed) Note supplement for 2 +. Peaceful central location. Main bathroom shared (if other room has been let). Use of kitchen & lounge. Convenient for bus service, shops, pubs etc Free wifi. Parking nearby. The room is in a self-contained flat on the 1st floor and is comfortable for 3 people (2 beds) and if you are a group or family travelling together you could rent out another double room on the same floor or other rooms on the Ground floor (see my other listings for Arkland). There are two rooms available in each flat. The flats are very well maintained, bright and with many facilities and if you only rent a room you have access to the lounge and well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals. Arkland is in a historic building in the small conservation town of Inveraray. The house is in the centre of the town but in a quiet lane and with easy access to the town (2 mins walk). If arriving by bus it is a short 5 minute walk from the bus terminal. From Glasgow International airport - we are 1.5 hours (about 56 miles). A lovely drive and you are in the heart of the west highlands!! What a wonderful way to start your Scottish holiday - wake up to hills, lochs, rivers and a true Scottish castle on your doorstep! Continental breakfast or a breakfast pack could be left in the kitchen for your arrival if you don't have time or the energy to shop. This is not included in the room price. Central bathroom, Kitchen and Lounge. Also small terraced patio at the rear of the house I work as a tour guide so am not always in Inveraray. But when I am, I like to help guests who are on holiday with their travel arrangements and possible routes to explore. I like the peace of living in a small old Georgian town down a quiet back lane but central to amenities such as banks, chemist, small shops, garage, local inn and eating places, etc. This is a town where you can mix with locals as well as a busy tourist town in the summer that people from UK and other countries visit. Within 5 minutes I can have a wonderful walk or cycle in the heart of the countryside or by the side of the loch. There is a bus service from Glasgow Buchanan Street bus station which goes to Campbeltown or Oban. The bus stop in the centre of Inveraray is only 5 minutes walk from the house. There are a few buses daily to Dunoon, Oban, Lochgilphead, (route to Campbeltown), but care should be taken when planning a trip without a car to get a timetable. Important: Please ensure that you read the HOUSE MANUAL when your booking is confirmed and in advance of your stay so that you know the location of the property, all other details, and can find it easily on arrival as I may not be at home to welcome you. This ensures that you have a trouble free experience even if you arrive late at the property.
