Stags View Holiday Home is your ideal base in central Portree to enjoy your tour of Skye. We offer a comfortable centrally heated home with superb views eastwards to the Coolin Hills and westward Sunset views reaching towards the Western Isles. A secluded rural location yet only 5 minutes drive to Portree Village. We are surrounded by a red deer farm on a working croft farm and they can be regularly seen just over our fences. We look forward to welcoming you. Our accommodation comprises a super king ensuite, a twin ensuite and a double room with full private facilities. Our lounge is cosy and comfortable with a 55” smart tv and DVD player. There is a selection of DVDs, books and board games available for guests.. Our large all glass conservatory affords spectacular views and is the favourite room of the house. Our lounge is cosy and comfortable with a large flat screen smart TV and DVD player. There is a selection of books DVDs and board games available. Our dining room by the kitchen is ideal for entertaining and has all the facilities for this including a wall mounted TV. We provide a welcome pack of bread, milk and sundries to start you off. Our kitchen is modern and well equipped and is complete with an American Style fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There are washing lines to the rear to dry clothing. There is a picnic bench and BBQ area to the front garden area. Free Broadband internet access is available to our guests. Entire interior and exterior but BBQ is not allowed as we are situated on a deer farm with exception of shed in garden and attic space. We live locally and are on hand if any problems arise or if you have any questions we would be more than happy to help. The crofting village of Borve is in a secluded rural location yet it is only a five minutes drive from Portree and all of its amenities. There are lovely country walks on your doorstep and the Stanging Stones of Borve are a short walk away. Stags View is located in the middle of a working red deer farm and the deer are often seen from the house. On the route west to Dunvegan, the Skeabost House bar and Hotel is a short drive away. The adjacent A87 is part of the North Skye Trotternish tourist route and Stags View is the ideal base to tour North Skye. Local buses stop at the nearby stop on the A87 with destinations to Portree, Dunvegan and the tourist loop towards Uig. Taxis are available and booked in advance. Our heating is controlled directly by the owner via Hive Home smart app however full instructions are available should a manual adjustment be required.
