The Stables form part of the original outbuildings to the Grade II listed Park Farm House. They were completely restored and converted into a delightful holiday home during the course of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Lullington the stables are set within a private courtyard to the rear of the house where we run a small but exclusive B&B. Lullington is only a short drive from the much sought after town of Frome, whilst also only being 10 miles from Bath. Park Farm, the former Home Farm to Orchardleigh Estate, was built in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) by George Devey (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , a British architect notable for his work on country houses and their estates, especially those belonging to the Rothschild family. Indeed Charles Voysey studied under him later to become a founder member of the Arts and Crafts movement. He often tried to create an artificial impression of a building’s age, and of its development over time, something that comes through in the design of Park Farm House and the stables. As you will see from the Floorplan The accommodation stretches to (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ] and provides two double bedrooms with top quality, English made, king-size double beds [bedroom two can be made as a double or twin], two bathrooms [one ensuite], a spacious living/dining/kitchen area with small galleried hayloft above. To the front of the stables there is a private courtyard garden. The entire building is self-contained and private, being located to the rear/side of the main house. There is plenty of parking to the front. Having just been restored the facilities are all brand new [as of December (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ]. Both bathrooms have power showers, heated towel rails and underfloor heating together with a selection of complimentary Bramley products. The Kitchen is fully fitted including a full-sized oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine , full-size Fridge/Freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, and microwave. As keen cooks ourselves we have ensured that it is well equipped for most holiday requirements. We also keep a basic store cupboard in the kitchen which all guests are welcome to use on a ‘use and replace basis’. Usually available at check-in as we live in the main Farmhouse but on occasions, we may not always be around and so we will ensure you know where the keys are and can easily contact us. We are in the perfect location to explore the surrounding area with Frome (3miles) Bradford on Avon (7 miles), Bath (10 miles), Bruton (16 miles), Wells (22 miles) and Salisbury (28 miles). For the garden enthusiasts Ilford Manor designed by Harold Peto, The Courts Gardens and Stourhead are all nearby as is Hauser & Wirth gallery and garden designed by Piet Oudolf in Bruton. There are wonderful places to visit in the area - Longleat House, Wilton House, Dyrham Park, Stonehenge, Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths and The Bishops Palace and Gardens in Wells are just a few ideas. Babington House, which is only 15mins away [members only] and Orchardleigh (5 mins) are two nearby wedding venues. Frome is only 3 miles away, you can cycle or there is plenty of parking. You can spend a morning meandering the old streets, popping into independent shops & cafes. Artisan market on the 1st Sunday of the month (Mar-Dec) & Frome Festival 10 days in July. There are beautiful walks straight from the house and Orchardleigh Golf Course is just down the road, a very pretty 18 hole course. Public transport is limited and therefore a car is essential.
