Hermit's Camp is located in Village Mateura, V.P.O. Jari, Distt. Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. It is located at a distance of 7km before Kasol. Village Mateura is quite popular among backpackers and is situated at a hilltop that offers a beautiful view of the Kasol Valley. There are a lot of villages for hiking nearby. Our Campsite offers a beautiful and peaceful place for travelers who want to spend time close to nature with a magnificent view. If you are looking for a place away from the usual hustle and bustle of the Kasol town, you have come to the right place. Hermit's Camp offers 7 beautiful Swiss Tents, each with a magical view of the Parvati Valley and in the lap of nature. Surrounded by Deodar trees and located at the top of the hill you will find yourself in the valley of Gods here. Nature and Peace are two things that define our place! And if you have a love for trekking and hiking then you are at the right place to start exploring the valley. Many beautiful treks start from our place. Looking to know more about the village lifestyle? You can get to know it just 10 minutes from Hermit's camp at village Mateura. The people here will welcome you with open arms. And yes no camping is complete without a night filled with music and bonfire. In the evening we arrange a bonfire for you so that you can enjoy and have fun and get a camping experience like no other. We also arrange activities like cooking classes by local women on request for those who want to get a closer look at local culture and local delicacies. We want our guests to have and enjoy an experience like no other. Our campsite is built with a lot of outdoor space available. If you want to want to lie down under the trees and read your favorite book you can do that or relax all day in the comfortable swings. It's up to you. We have a beautiful orchard too, where you can walk around. If you are looking to spend the day in our common space then you can have some fun with the indoor games or play guitar if you like! There is absolutely no restriction in using any space here. If you want to cook a meal for yourself you can make use of our kitchen with prior notice. We have the main kitchen space in which we prepare meals for guests. We can always open to share it with travelers. We welcome artists with an open heart for sharing their art with us and giving us new ideas to improve. If you need anything in particular my staff is always there to assist. And travelling has always been my passion and I love to interact with our guests and hear there travel stories. If you need me anytime I am always around. And I also love to take our guests for walks around our village and other places. Our place is located at a walking distance of 10 minutes from the village Mateura. You can visit a waterfall in our area which is only at a distance of a short walk. There are many old temples to visit in the nearby villages as well. If you are looking to visit Kasol you can hire a cab or use local transport from the main road. Kasol is only 7 Km from Village Mateura. You can also hire a cab directly to visit Malana Village from our place. It will take you roughly 25 minutes to reach it. Other than that Manikaran can also be visited by hiring a cab or using local transport which is at a distance of 11 Km from the main road. For private vehicle- Guests can park their vehicle ( for vehicles having low ground clearance) in Jari Paid parking area and then hire a taxi till village mateura which is 1.5 km from Jari. Our campsite is at a walking distance of 500 meters from the village mateura. For vehicles with good ground clearance- they can park the vehicles at village mateura. Free and common space for parking vehicles is available there. From there our campsite is at a walking distance of 500 meters. For Bikes- From the Jari bus stop, guests will have to take a left turn towards village mateura and drive straight for 1.5 km till they reach the village. They can park their bikes at the common free parking space available in the village. From there our campsite is at a walking distance of 500 meters. For those traveling from local transport- Guests have to get down at Jari Bus Stop. From there they can either walk or hire a taxi towards villages mateura which is 1.5 km from the main road. Taxis are easily available at the Jari Bus stop. After reaching the village mateura the guests have to hike for 500 meters to reach our campsite through the village road.
