Travelling with family and friends? Take advantage of this bright and airy upstairs room with a single and a king size bed. You will have sole use of a generous bathroom across the hall. My house is tucked away at the start of the Westport Greenway. This large bedroom comes with exclusive use of a bathroom with an electric shower. The room has a kingsize and a single bed and a decent folding bed is available for an extra charge of 15 euro (Inc. B/fast). The house is in a fantastic location for exploring Westport and the surrounding area. The Westport Green way, which connects with the Great Western Greenway, can be reached via my garden gate. The pubs and restaurants of the Quay are 200 m away, as is bike and kayak hire. You can walk to Westport House, stroll along the Greenway to town or hang out along the Quay, maybe taking a cruise of Clew Bay. There are several bars and restaurants in the Quay area or you can choose to walk to town. A continental breakfast is included. Guests will have access to the patio and the garden. There is plenty of safe private parking, covered storage for bicycles and surfboards and clothes drying facilities. You are welcome to prepare a picnic in the morning. I enjoy meeting my guests and will be on the premises during your stay. See my reviews at LOCATION, LOCATION for more info and photos. Call me biased, but the Quay is the best of Westport. Boats, pubs, sea breezes (even gales), the Heritage Centre, Westport House, the Greenway - we have it all. Cycling, swimming, kayaking or just rambling around. You can leave your car at my door and take the day as it comes. A cruise on Clew Bay, a fancy boutique, galleries, designer homewares, a new hair style - you take your pick. Then sit outside with an icecream and watch the world go by. What more could you want? There is a regular train service to Westport from Dublin. Buses to Westport may take you on to the Quay, but you must ask the driver as the official stop is in town. I am about 35 mins walk from the train station and 25 mins from the bus stop in town and 2 mins from the bus depot at the quay. If you take a taxi the bus depot is your landmark for here. My house is in a garden and I would be delighted to see you enjoying it! You can sit on the patio and listen to the stream that runs by the house. I have a small indoor aviary in the conservatory with zebra finches and canaries.
