The room is in the second floor of an historic farmhouse, with two twin beds and a terrace that overlooks the stable and fields. There is a bathroom that is shared with other guests. On this farm we live in harmony with nature -- you will see chickens and roosters roaming around, and a foal and its mother grazing on the open fields. The dog, Mia, and the cat, Ernesto, are sweet and quite hospitable to strangers. You can take a bus from Venice Mestre (the mainlaind) or from the island of Venice, and the farm is a 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Bus tickets are generally 1-3 euros, and depending on the route the trip should take 40 to 80 minutes. There is a restaurant about five minutes away, and a lot of bars, diners, and gelatto places within four kilometers (about two miles). However, there is also a market right here on the farm, full of good veggies and healthy Italian pasta -- and the best wine you have ever tasted! We sometimes have to leave to check on our other property, but are usually around most of the day, working on the farm. About ten minutes from the nearest bus station.
