There are children’s playparks – Jonny the Jig in the town centre, swings and slides in the pretty woodland of Ballymenoch Park, great views over Holywood, & Belfast Lough from Redburn Country Park, and a large playpark by the sea at Seapark. • As the accommodation is only a short stroll from Holywood, it is ideal for commuting to Belfast, North Down or as a base from which to explore the rest of the province due to transport links - road, rail, sea and air. The cottage is located close to some of Northern Ireland’s most famous tourist attractions, such as Titanic Quarter, The Game of Thrones Tour, W5 Interactive Discovery Centre, The Crumlin Road Gaol, The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, the SSE Arena, and many more. For those who want to travel further afield, why not visit the famous Giants Causeway, or take a tour of the Bushmills Distillery. Guests can also join the Belfast hop on/hop off bus tour and explore Belfast including Queens University, Stormont, and the murals decorating the Peace Wall. The large kitchen is equipped with everything guests need during their stay. The large living / dining room area is tastefully decorated with comfortable seating and a woodburning effect stove in our inglenook fireplace creates a cosy ambiance. • In the cottage there are two ensuite family rooms with a double and single bed in each room on the ground floor. • The additional room is on the first floor. It has views over Belfast Lough and has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. • Secluded, private grounds with spectacular panoramic views over Belfast Lough. • Non-smoking accommodation. • Ground floor accommodation suitable for people with mobility issues. • Ideal accommodation for those towing trailers / boats / horse boxes due to ample car parking space. Towels and bed linen are provided. Free WIFI Well behaved pets are welcome. Guests are asked to keep pets off soft furnishings. Detailed Description of Braeside Cottage: The Cottage is a charming stone building attached to the main family residence, but fully self-contained with a separate front door for private accessibility for guests. There is a private courtyard / BBQ area and secure parking area to the front of the property; a front door leads to the entrance foyer; a large sitting / dining area; a fully fitted kitchen and two family ensuite bedrooms with a double bed and single bed in each. Living Area The comfortable sitting room is reminiscent of a typical Irish cottage and features an inglenook fireplace. It combines warmth and practicality with tasteful soft furnishings and dining furniture. A television, DVD player, games console, stereo radio and CD player, selection of books and games and a remote control operated “woodburning stove effect” fire are all available for the use of guests. Extensive literature relating to tourism in the area is also provided to help you plan your stay. Kitchen The large cottage kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Facilities include a fridge, freezer, washer/tumble dryer, microwave, blender and sandwich toaster, and a good selection of crockery, glassware and cooking essentials. Bedroom Accommodation The bedrooms are arranged in a “family room” layout, with a double bed and single bed in each room. We have found that families travelling with young children benefit from this option. Cot(s) are available on request. Two ensuite rooms, both with a double and single bed and both with televisions. All bed linen and towels are provided. Both ensuites have showers. One of the ensuites has a bath with an overhead shower, the other has a walk-in shower. Additional Room For additional accommodation to increase the Cottage bed spaces for larger parties, an additional room is available at first floor level. It is accessed through the same external front door as the Cottage, which leads to the communal foyer. The Cottage has its own private entrance off the foyer and "Room 3"(named because the Cottage contains Rooms 1 and 2) is accessed by a short staircase leading from the foyer. This provides larger parties renting the cottage the flexibility to let an additional room to accommodate larger groups and provide more space. Room 3 is charged separately to the cottage, and at a discounted rate for those booking it to increase Cottage accommodation. When it is not being used to extend the Cottage facilities, it is let out separately on a room-only basis. The room has a double bed, TV, ensuite bathroom with shower, WIFI access, small fridge and Tea and Coffee making facilities. "Room 3" has stunning views over Belfast Lough. All parts of the house, BBQ area and garden space. Ample car parking. We live next door! Give us a knock if you need anything! Scenic peaceful location within walking distance of busy vibrant town centre of Holywood, with lots of restaurants, bars and boutiques. It is a 15 minute walk into Holywood, where most other locations / tourist attractions are accessible by rail and bus - local taxi details and other transport details are provided in the cottage. Belfast / Titanic Quarter is under 15 minutes away by rail / car, as is the George Best City Airport. Cottage prices : £100.00 per night (minimum 2 night stay) Additional room available - if let to increase cottage space - £30.00 per night or £200.00 per week. The additional room is a double ensuite. If let on a room only basis without the cottage, the rate is £45.00 per night.
