Our home is a short walk into Bakewell town centre and Ashford in the Water, with many pubs, shops and cafes. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Castleton and the Monsal trail are all within easy reach, with several beautiful Peak District walks from the doorstep. Your room is a peaceful private annex, completely separate from the house and comprises a double bed, comfy leather sofa, TV and DAB radio. Separate en-suite, tea/coffee facilities, breakfast bar, fridge and toaster. Completely separate from the main house, we would love you to feel at home in your private open plan space. Relax on the sofa and enjoy TV, digital radio, a fast wifi, books and magazines. The integrated fridge will have milk, butter and preserves. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and herbal teas are available. A toaster, crockery and cutlery are provided. The annex also includes: ~ A stylish en-suite with a walk-in electric shower, basin, sink and w/c. ~Towels, and luxury toiletries in the en-suite. ~ Hairdryer. ~ Wardrobe and dresser for storage. For winter evenings a fireplace housing an electric stove provides a warm, cosy atmosphere. We now offer a fully private arrival facility - you may pick up the key from a key safe (code given to you before arrival). Please note your room is up a flight of stairs . Feel free to enjoy your room, stroll around the garden and use the patio, we often have pheasant visitors and the bird life is interesting. Parking for guests is on the drive, a short walk from your room. If you require it, we can give advice about the local area and places to visit, alternatively, if you prefer a quiet retreat, we will leave you in peace. We live at the end of a quiet road and the house overlooks gardens and trees. Bakewell is a short stroll into town where there are numerous bars, pubs and cafes as well as speciality gift shops. Alternatively Ashford -in-the- Water is also a ten minute walk with a couple of local pubs in the village plus a corner shop and Church. Beautiful country views and walks abound from your doorstep. Free parking available at home with public transport at the end of the road. Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall, Hassop Hall and Eyam are all within easy reach. For cyclists you can cycle to the Monsal Trail and Chris knows several cycle routes for varying abilities. There are hundreds of country walks in the breathtaking Derbyshire Peak District area to enjoy.
