Nestled in rural Kent, Just 3 miles from the coast. Oaklands is a beautiful country cottage set in the grounds of a dairy farm. This completely refurbished cottage has amazing views across the valley. There are many footpaths and country walks in the vicinity. The village of Whitfield is close by (approx. 4 miles) and has a host of local amenities inc large supermarkets, takeaways, restaurants and a brand new sports centre. Solleys Ice cream parlour is 1mile away and sells delicious ice cream made from the farms own Jersey milk. Despite being very rural the White cliffs of Dover are within 3 miles. The beautiful village of St Margarets-at-cliffe is also 3 miles away. The Port of Dover is 4.3miles away. Historic Dover Castle is 4 miles and South Foreland lighthouse is 3 miles away. Walmer and Deal castle are within a 5min drive. The seaside town of Deal is 3 miles away, it lies on the border of the North Sea and the English Channel. It is a former fishing and garrison town and is a possible location for Julius Caesar's first arrival in Britain. The Cinque port of Sandwich (7miles away) lies next to the River Stour. Sandwich has many medieval buildings. Sandwich bay is home to Nature reserves and two world class golf courses, Royal St Georges and Prince's. The medieval city of Canterbury is approx. 12 miles. The cathedral is in the heart of the precinct, The city has many other historic interests to explore on foot. London is just 56 minutes away on the high speed train.
