Cosy Chalet in the forest with Wood Fired Hot Tub
Hi there, thanks for checking out our little chalet in the woods :) If you like nature, this is the place to be. Spot wild dear, go skiing, hiking, take our snowshoes on an adventure, or simply come and relax in our wood powered hot-tub. The chalet is cozy and modern, open plan with a nice fire to sit by. It's ideal for 2, but 4 people can also fit. With 2 outside terraces you can have breakfast and dinner in the sun. The chalet is a great little gem, cozy inside, and plenty space outside for barbecues or roasting marshmallows. We foresee lot's of wood, for the fire inside and outside, so you won't go cold :). The outdoor hot-tub makes the return from any adventure or hike just a pleasure. Inside we have an open plan kitchen, dining and living space. There is a high quality double sofa bed (in the open plan) and alongside a small bedroom with bunk beds. Upstairs there is a mezzanine with a double air bed if you want to squeeze in any extras (note that access to the mezzanine is up a steep staircase through a trapdoor). Nespresso machine, fondue, raclette, Wifi, Netflix, fire pit and bbq grill all available for your use. We prefer to leave you at peace during your stay. If you need us however, we're 5 minutes down the road from you :) The surroundings in St. Cergue are simply idyllic. The ski station Les Rousses is 10 minutes by car or train/bus from the chalet. A brilliant 2 hour hike to the top of La Dole is right on the doorstep. In summer there's the outdoor tennis courts for a great match. Or if you prefer a slower game, the petanque courts :). Lac Les Rousses is 10 minutes by car and a wonderful place for swimming, paddle boarding, windsurfing or other watersports. Restaurants, a little shop and a great bakery are at a 5 minute drive to the village or 20 minutes hiking. From Geneva airport we are a 30 minute drive. Alternatively take the train to Nyon (25mins) and then the mountain train up to the chalet (45mins). Access to the chalet is possible by car - you will drive up a small road off the main road, over the train tracks and there is parking on site. During the winter in case of sudden heavy snow it may be necessary to park by the main road and walk 100 meters up to the chalet (we try to keep the snow cleared as much as possible though).
