Mortar and Stone Cottage

Our 1860's cottage is located in Willunga in the heart of the McLaren Vale wine region, less than an hour's drive from Adelaide. The cottage is fully restored and features modern conveniences with cosy, warm textures and feelings of a classic cottage as you snuggle around the indoor wood fire. It's raw and romantic! Within walking distance to the township of Willunga our cottage is the perfect place from which to rest, relax and enjoy living like a local! Our beautiful cottage is suitable for one couple for an overnighter or longer stays. The cottage is situated next to our residence on the 7ha property. This cottage provides separate rooms for the bedroom, lounge, kitchen/dine and bathroom. You have access to a spacious yard, viewing point and plenty of car park access. We gladly provide you with a kettle, electric stove, frypan and toaster. Crockery, utensils, bedding and towels included. Tea, coffee and basic breakfast requirements are provided. A bottle of local wine to suit the season will be supplied upon arrival. We live close by on the property in a seperate house - if you ever need anything we are always there to help! Your stay includes exclusive use of the 4 room cottage, surrounding garden and the magnificent views from the coast to vines. I would highly recommend a stroll to the local, vibrant Saturday morning markets on High street. It is here you can stock up and prepare your own meals in the spacious kitchen. If cooking isn’t your thing - the local pubs, restaurants and cafes on High street have so much to offer! PRE ORDER To add to your experience you can order a wonderful platter with locally sourced Fleurieu produce from DeRose Cafe (located in High Street). This will arrive at the cottage on your day of arrival. This will need to be pre-arranged and paid for when booking. This will be at a cost of $40. We are the perfect base from which to enjoy all the Fleurieu has to offer. We are located within a short walk of the famed Willunga Farmers' Market, cafes, galleries, bakery, antique, and craft shop. 3 local pubs, a tap house, restaurants, hotels and over 75 wineries and cellar doors, all there at your doorstep or a short drive away. Hosts We are a young couple who have brought this 1860’s cottage to life. We have a passion for the ‘farm to table’ concept and love supporting local business and events here in Willunga. We both work externally in schools and the outdoor industry and have a love of people! We live adjacent to the property and are always happy to help out if needed and recommend any local areas to visit. Stroll, dine, drink, swim, breathe and admire all that Willunga has to offer!
