Well equipped maisonette with outstanding views and within an easy walk via onsite footpath to beautiful Hope Cove beach (20 mins) and SW coastal path. Friendly hosts onsite in main house opposite for support and friendly welcome! 2 friendly dogs and 2 ponies. Rural tranquil location and close to many South Hams beaches and attractions e.g. Salcombe, Bantham, Burgh Island, Thurlestone, Kingsbridge and National Trust venues. Enclosed garden with BBQ. We rely on our ratings to keep busy! Thank you so much! Super easy access to all local attractions but the perfect bolt hole for a restful sleep surrounded by fields and wildlife. We recommend an evening stroll to Hope Cove and its lovely eateries, the Cove, the Hope & Anchor and Lobster Pod Bistro. Scenic walking route with views of Burgh Island and ideal for pre-dinner drinks or an evening out. Bantham, Bigbury, South Milton, Thurlestone Sands and Salcombe are only a short drive or longer walk away. Amazing coastal walks and National Trust areas to explore. Kingsbridge has numerous restaurants, a cinema and other amenities such as supermarkets although the Co-op in Malborough has fuel, cash point and good selection of groceries and baked goods. Newly opened Ashby’s of Salcombe has a superb Salcombe Meat counter, fresh fish from Beesands, the Blue Whale Cafe and hoards of other local produce, gifts, household items. Just past the Co-op A car is most advisable due to the rural location. A bus service runs from Malborough village which is 20 min walk from Higher Barton. Due to the rural and tranquil location, there is no mobile phone signal at the property, only WiFi connection. WiFi calling is available on some networks. Please check with your mobile phone provider. We mention the "rural" location several times throughout the listing as this really is the case! The cottage is located at the end of a "Devon" country lane and is surrounded by rolling hills and fields. Hope Cove is a 15-20 minute walk away along the footpath/fields. Salcombe is a 5 minute drive away and the same goes for Kingsbridge. The Co-op at Malborough is approximately 2-3 minutes by car so we are very close to all major amenities.
