The location is excellent - walk to Takapuna Beach in just 10 minutes with the local supermarket just as close and easy access to pubic transport. Perfect for couples, families and business travellers - fast response to all enquiries! Beach Restaurants Ferry rides If you need to use public transport please look up Auckland Transport (AT) website to get all information on buses, ferries and trains. *** COVID 19 UPDATE *** Before booking, please be aware we can only host your stay if it is essential to move during the Level 4 and 3 lockdown periods in New Zealand. Main reasons include: - recently returned New Zealanders re-settling, - your current property becomes uninhabitable or unavailable, - or if you need to move to avoid a dangerous home situation. We will handle the key exchange remotely and you will need to arrange safe point to point transport within your bubble when re-locating. From my place there is a lovely cafe about 10 mins walk away. There is also a great children’s park called Northboro Reserve on the way there. For restaurants, head to Takapuna where most places are child friendly. I like madame Woo for pan Asian or else head to the Takapuna Beach cafe for brunch and either walk there( the promenade) or home along the beach front ( ie 10 min walk from my place to start of beach _ turn right at my driveway and keep walking till you hit the water). There are also lovely water - view restaurants on The Strand abd a really large children’s playground. If you want to go the other way - head to Devonport. Beautiful beaches at Narrow Neck and Cheltenhem. Beaut French cafe on Vauxhall Road. In the main Devonport village you can go to Hemingway’s at night or Corelli’s for day food. Great book shops , an old school movie theatre and the ferry terminal. Hop on a ferry to Auckland city in 8 mins or else take a 45 minute large ferry to Waiheke Island and explore the beaches and wineries for a day !
