“FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD” A luxury Shepherd's Hut secluded in the grounds of a quintessential thatched cottage in a small village in the southern border of the New Forest. Just a stroll away you will be in the beautiful Forest amongst the ponies. The Georgian town of Lymington is just 5 miles away. Cherry Blossom has a westerly outlook towards farm land onto the New Forest beyond. Deer venture into the grounds from the forest and sleep in the bushes overnight. Cherry Blossom is a traditional Shepherd's Hut it comes fully equipped with en-suite electric shower, basin and proper flushing toilet. It has a beautiful handmade kitchenette with microwave/combi oven, 2 ring hob and a roomy fridge with a small freezer spact to make ice for your drinks! Breakfast ingredients are purchased from the local farm shop and produce will be locally sourced where available which includes free range eggs, granola, muesli, bread, butter, honey, fresh fruit to include New Forest strawberries when available, yoghurt, orange juice and a selection of Danish pastry/crumpets. Tea/coffee, sugar and milk is also included. With every booking we give a free bottle of Prosecco and chocolates therefore this is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special event! The hut offers a full size double comfy bed for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country side with only a DAB radio to keep you entertained to ensure complete serenity! There is an electric wood burning stove and in the shower room a heated towel rail to keep your towels dry and you warm. Therefore no need for a carbon monoxide detector. The location is perfectly situated for walks in the enchanted forest and for spotting wildlife or cycling and horseriding in the forest. No light pollution and the closeness to nature is all that's required for this romantic break in this hand crafted luxury Shepherd's Hut decorated using Farrow & Ball paint. A delightful cob pub dating back to 1630 and a Victorian pub are both within walking distance where you can enjoy views of the forest and watch donkeys and ponies while enjoying a glass of wine, a pint or treat yourself to a delicious meal as food is served all day! There are also two further pubs 1 1/2 miles away in Sway where the nearest train station is. The quaint Georgian town of Lymington has a market every Saturday and this has been held since the 13th century and has also lots of shops, cafes and pubs on the High Street, which are dog friendly! Down the picturesq cobbled street to the Quay you can watch the yachts come and go sitting outside with a glass of wine or two from the The Ship Inn. The dog friendly sandy/pebble beach of Highcliffe is approx. 6 miles away and the beautiful sandy beach of Mudeford approx. 8 miles away with its ferry to the Sandpit where the most expensive beach huts reside on fine white sands. Fresh seafood can be purchased on the Quay beforehand to take with you for lunch on the beach. Or a trip to Bournemouth Beach the No.1 Best Beach rated by Tripadvisor only a 30 min drive away! A favourite for visitors is Beaulieu Village which is approx. 11 miles away where the Beaulieu Motor Museum and The Beaulieu Palace can be visited, or you can just picnic by the beautiful river side. The Maritime Museum & Bucklers Hard next door is one of my favourites, the views are stunning, a visit to remember. Nelson's boat the Agamemnon was built from here using the oak trees from the area and the 18th century little boat builders cottages are still standing. Sail down the solent and picnic on the lawns enjoying the beautiful view! Exbury Gardens, Lepe Beach, Barton on Sea and Milford on Sea are all just a few minutes drive away. The Isle of Wight (IOW) can be clearly seen from all of these places and a Ferry sails from Lymington to the island which takes 40 mins, the speed is slow and makes a very relaxing journey for you and your dog who can travel and stay onboard with you in the lounge/bar. SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE HUT AND ALL CIGARETTE BUTTS ARE TO BE DISPOSED OF PROPERLY. WE DO NOT CATER FOR PARTIES OR EVENTS AND PROMOTE A QUIET LOCATION. There are many bycicle routes to be found in the New Forest. A local bus is also available. A village train station is 1 1/2 miles away which offers travel directly to London Waterloo. The proximity to the town of Lymington and the Solent coastline makes it a favourite, attracting many marine enthusiasts. Sea is only 5 mins away! The hut has been designed to get away from it all. Therefore, there is intermittent internet access, limited phone signal and no television - just views, wildlife, a glass of wine and a good book. There is a DAB radio for entertainment. If you are bringing the most important member of the family your dog kindly advise when booking! Please ensure dogs are controlled at all times and are kept on a long lead.
