HACK FARM is a eco homestead and horse backpacker right in the middle of the Bay. 4 bedrooms, yurt and gypsy wagon set up around a historical funky farm house. Its perched on a hilltop with 380 deg. Mountain views, easy beach access and 12 horses which we use for trekking. We are seasonal and can therefore the house can be very busy with customers/guests/riders/workers in the summer months You are welcome in our spacious twin room with lots of horseome character. You can leave your suitcase open in 15 sqm. Two comfy beds -which also can be put next to each other, North faced views to the sea. We are happy to help with all your needs. This is the Blue Rider Room ONLY listing and can be rented anytime next to the other rooms. The farm is perched on a hilltop with amazing sun and moon rises from the sea. A glow worm track brings you to the beach. You share the land with at least 10 horses, mainly draft or Clydesdales X and other farm animals. You share the house possibly with other guests and workers on our farm from all over the world. Two fully equipped shared kitchens, the outdoor pizza clay oven can also be started up, shared 3 bathrooms, cosy lounge, dining area, hammock, outdoor sitting, lawn, table tennis, bikes, riding along the beaches for extra fees from $95 NZD +, picking a lemon from the trees and enjoying the orchard, chicken house and care if you or your kids like to do that, lots to do here on the Hack Farm! We live close by that we can respect your privacy or interact with your needs and requests. Happily do we help you to find the best things to do during your stay and would love to take you for a horse beach ride if you wish You can explore all attractions of Golden Bay from our centred location. Stunning Patons Rock Beach ( 20 min walk) is great all year around, fabulous horseback riding along the golden sands and river crossings along Golden Bay. Kahurangi National Park with Parapara Peak ( 1249m) just 2 km away, the famous Mussel Inn just 4 km, the Pupu Springs just 7 km, Farewell Spit 40 km, Wharariki Beach with the seal puppies 45km, Abel Tasman Park 30 km, .......... We help you to relocate vehicles or floats or transport your gear or pick you up if you get stranded in a pub ;) i. e. Horse riding is one way to get around :) bikes or hitchhiking goes well and during the season are we on the GB Coachline bus route towards Collingwood, most convenient is it by car. We are eco friendly, recycling, reusing from towels, using solar water and home made foods like sour dough bread, own meat, cheese, jam.... You can go for a horse trails off roads on the beaches on well trained ponies and horses, horsemanship, vaulting on horse back, cart riding as well as driving lessons.
