Kangaroo Cottage is an adults only retreat, surrounded by majestic Jarrah trees and wildlife. Guests have a wonderful opportunity to escape the city & immerse themselves in the serenity of the hills. Please be aware that the cottage is located on our family hobby farm & the sounds of our animals are a part of the Kangaroo Cottage experience. Our property is not suitable for pets or children. A light breakfast of croissants & condiments will be provided for the first morning of your stay. Whilst staying at Kangaroo Cottage, guests will be able to relax to the sounds of nature, explore the bush trails or simply enjoy the animals on our property (horses, donkeys, cows, goats, chickens, ducks, native birds and of course kangaroos). Our property offers a quiet retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle, where guests can unwind. For those needing a little something more nurturing, Megan also offers personalised Sound Relaxation sessions. Guests are welcome to explore our 30 acre property, including the dam and brook, walking trails in the forest, as well as visiting our animal family. Stable facilities, round hard, arena & paddocks are available, with space to park a float if required. There is also plenty of room for parking a caravan. Whilst our home is only a stone's throw away, Kangaroo Cottage is private and self-contained. For those guests wanting the full Australian wildlife experience, Cohunu Koala Park is within close proximity. The surrounding hills area is also home to the historic Jarrahdale townsite, Serpentine Falls and Dam. For guests wanting a special experience, Millbrook Winery offers delightful lunches and wine tasting and is only a short drive from the cottage. Byford community also offers a lovely selection of cafes, Country Club and shopping. For those guests visiting Cohunu Koala Park, we are more than happy to offer a pick up service if required. Simply catch the train from Perth city to Armadale, then take the connecting bus 253 into Byford, where we will happily pick you up. Please let us know if you would like this assistance.
